Sarah Calkins until just recently was, in fact, Sarah Spencer, until she got married to Christopher Calkins on October 11th, 1998. This she assures us has nothing at all to do with the fact that Christopher Calkins has a story in the current issue. At any rate, Sarah was born and raised in Southern California to parents who were born and raised in Southern California (well, one of them was, anyway) and yet has never been able to shake off the nagging feeling that she should be living in the forest somewhere.

Like all editors from the beginning of time she considers herself to be a writer as well, and currently occasionally writes video game reviews for Grrlgamer.com when she has a few minutes to spare, which is infrequently. She claims that she would never, ever commit the ultimate editorial sin of including one of her own stories in her publication under an alias, however. Ahem.
