He is Duncan MacLeod. The Highlander. Born in 1592 in the Highlands of Scotland, and he is still alive. He is immortal. For 400 years, he's been a warrior, a lover, a wanderer. Canstantly facing other Immortals in combat to the death. The winner takes his enemy's head, and with it, his power. I am a watcher. Part of a secret society of men and women who observe and record, but never interfere. We know the truth about Immortals. In the end there can be only one. May it be, Duncan MacLeod, The Highlander.
Listen to Conner MacLeod introduce himself.
I am Connor Macleod of the clan Macleod. I was born in 1518 in the village of Glenfinnan on
the shores of Loch Shiel... And I am Immortal.

A brief history of Highlander
Highlander is about two people who are immortal. In the movies it is Conner MacLeod, and in the T.V. series it is Duncan MacLeod. (Although Conner showed up on the T.V. show at least once.) Both born in the Highlands of Scotland over 400 years ago, and both are of the same clan. Conner is older by 74 years though. For those extremely new to Highlander, look at the Rules of Immortality. Basically Immortals go around killing each other one by one until the time of the Gathering. The Gathering is when Immortals feel an uncontrolable urge to to kill each other. I know, I know, you're saying "What?! Immortals are called 'immortal' because they aren't mortal, hence, they can't be killed," or some variation of that. Well these immortals can only be killed by losing their head. That is why they fight with swords. It's the easiest weapon to behead someone with. The reason they are fighting is because not only because of the rule "There can be only one", when the last Immortals fight, and one dies, the winner recieves "The Prize". The person who wins the Prize, has all the power of all the Immortals, or the Quickening, (in other words, an Immortal's power is called his "Quickening".) and supposedly has the power to rule the universe. Conner MacLeod eventually wins the Prize. So, as one might guess, Duncan is killed sometime during the Gathering.
Highlander
Highlander is about Conner and Duncan MacLeod, and what I want to know is, Which one is the real Highlander?!? I mean, just clear that up guys! Sheesh! Anyways, Highlander: The Series, is (next to Star Trek, and the X Files) one of my favorite shows. The movie I've seen is okay too. I only say okay because "Highlander II: The Quickening" is extremely confusing in regards to the Highlander time line. Highlander intregues me personally. I can only imagine what would be going on in the world if Highlander were true, rather than fiction. Wouldn't it be interesting?...
Hey! Check out this picture of Duncan and Conner!

The Rules of Immortality
- There can be only one.
- Immortals cannot fight on holy ground.
- Fights must be one on one.
- No mortal may assist an immortal in a fight.
- Immortals must conceal their special gift.
The Rules of Immortality according to "Highlander II: The Quickening"
In Connor's house Louise restates the rules that Connor has told her
to see if she has them correct:
Louise:
"OK. Now let me just see if I cant get this straight. You come from
another planet. And you're mortal there. But you're immortal here,
until you kill all the guys from there who have come here -- and then
you're mortal here. Unless, you go back there -- or some more guys
from there come here. In which case you become Immortal here -- again.
Connor:
"Something like that."
Louise:[sardonically]
"Of course, it would be 'something like that,' wouldn't it."
