CMOT Briggs |
Following the increasing
popularity of the Discworld novels, plays, T-shirts, Unseen
University scarves, badges, mouse mats and much more followed -
and that was only Stephen Briggs! Stephen (on the right of the
picture) was the first person to adapt a Discworld novel for the
stage. He was so successful in his role of Patrician that
Clarecraft based their model of Vetenari on him. He has an
incredible catalogue of references from the DW books which
enabled him to design the Mappe of Ankh- Morpork. Terry didn't
even know that a map was possible - there were no Pratchett
sketches to start from, Ankh-Morpork existed in Terry's mind only
- but the Mappe was produced and very accuurate it is too. The
Discworld Companion inevitably followed with references to
everyone and everywhere in the DW to date. CMOT Briggs now has a
wide range of top quality merchandise available at throat cutting
prices.
