Fractal Information Page
What is a fractal? According to Webster's New World Dictionary, a fractal is "an extremely irregular line or surface formed of an infinite number of similarly irregular sections..."
When references to fractals are made, they are often referring to seemingly random designs of lines and curves that go on forever. However,
fractals are not only used for creating pretty designs. Fractals are also used for complex pictures of landscapes and for data and video compression.
There even exist fractal music and fractal robotics.
