"ex-gays"

Let me try to understand this. You're still gay. You admit you still want men. You threw away your fishnets and put on your Dockers and you watch football and scratch your balls in public and verbally harass women and then you go around telling everyone you're not gay anymore.

And you, you're still a lesbian. You admit you still want women. You threw away your flannel shirts and jeans and grew your hair out and started wearing makeup and being subservient to men and now you go around telling everyone you're not gay anymore.

I'll put it to you bluntly: All this does not mean you're straight. It means you're putting on a ridiculous, pitiful charade of being a stereotypical straight. You go to your little meetings and you wish, real hard, that Jesus would cure you of your disease. You want to be part of the big happy fundamentalist Christian brotherhood (as if those people didn't secretly wash their hands after shaking yours even now that you're "cured;" as if they didn't still see you as tainted). This is not a testament to the power of God. This is the power of brainwashing we're talking about here, people, and those "backsliders" you revile so much, who are able to accept their true natures at last-- those are the ones with the strength of will. Not you. You're just sad.
