Embrace the Night

by

Joseph Harding

I ask you all, embrace the night.

Its dark deserving deep respect,
a puissant call of timeless ode,
in shadows spawn the day's abode.

I ask you all, embrace the night.

Its eldritch whispered primal tact,
in dreamless sleep the day awaits,
a paltry waif the darkness sates.

I ask you all, embrace the night.

Its shameless glittered tapestry,
forever burns till light is gone,
for without night where goes the dawn.

I ask you all, embrace the night.
