On a routine diplomatic mission to Starfleet Academy, our sensors detected the presence of a rogue planet in space, orbited by a sun no larger than a pea, a circumstance impossible to explain by any known scientific law. Assuming the star to be an artificial construct, a landing party was dispatched to the planet's surface, where I am now recording this log: where we are now trapped. Two of my crewman are dead, victims of this savage planet Spock has named Anomaly, a planet where none of our equipment works and none of our science applies. A planet that cannot exist. |
