Gary Alexander's Biography

Sound re-recording mixer who entered the business with the 1978 TV mini-series "Centennial." Other notable credits include ZORRO, THE GAY BLADE (1981), PERSONAL BEST and DINER (both 1982), VALLEY GIRL and TESTAMENT (both 1983), AGAINST ALL ODDS, THE NATURAL, THIEF OF HEARTS and BOLERO (all 1984), VOLUNTEERS (1985), THE DELTA FORCE (1986), THE PICK-UP ARTIST (1987), BIG and EVERYBODY'S ALL-AMERICAN (both 1988), SAY ANYTHING, STAR TREK: THE FINAL FRONTIER and UNCLE BUCK (all 1989), THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS (1989). He then began a period of working only in television. Some of those credits: "Tales from the Crypt" (1989), "Twin Peaks" (1990), "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1992-95 episodes), "Red Shoe Diaries" (1992), "Burke's Law" (1994) and "Under One Roof" (1995), plus several made-for-TV movies. He returned to feature films in 1995: OUT-OF-SYNC, VOICES, EMPIRE RECORDS and HEAT (all 1995), SLING BLADE and SPACE JAM (both 1996), FACE/OFF and KISS THE GIRLS (both 1997), BLUES BROTHERS 2000, DOCTOR DOLITTLE, PLEASANTVILLE and THE LAST DAYS (all 1998), THE OUT-OF-TOWNERS (1999), PASSION OF MIND and DELIVERING MILO (both 2000), ALEX IN WONDER and ALMOST SALINAS (both 2001).
