THEUTAXON BLOOD-RUNNER VS. TABUTO
Torgal reaches across the table and snatches the decanter of wine from the surface. A second murder in less than a month has put him on edge. Not necessarily for his own safety but more from the impact it would have on the crowd and the money he would make. Especially since the last death involved a patron. Torgal shakes his head and wonders how long he can keep the news covered up. Melanos steps into the room and shakes him out of his reverie.

Melanos just nods at Torgal before seating himself and grabbing a mug of ale. Even the normally grim Melanos is looking grimmer. Wordlessly Torgal rises from his seat and steps to the balcony and surveys the crowd. His dark expression lifting as he addresses the crowd.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like you now all to turn your attention to the arena floor as you will witness the skills of combat that the two warriors, Theutaxon and Tabuto have to offer." The crowd erupts into cheers that shake the cavern and sends ice chills down Torgal's back. The gates begin to open as the crowd cheers on. "I now present to you without further theatrics, tonight's entertainment!" Torgal sweeps his arms across in a wide gesture encompassing the entire crowd.

Tabuto steps from the gates first in a flurry of movement. His body snaking its way to the start point in a fluid movement of gestures and actions that enthrall the crowd and bring forth gasps of air. Tabuto finishes his moves in a stance with his gaze directed at the furthest gate and its now approaching figure.

Theutaxon steps forward from the gate in long confident strides. While moving towards the start position his hand brings a small broach to his lips and a silent prayer is sent. His chain mail shirt and dark brown clothes reflecting his character. "May the fight be entertaining and the rewards many my friend." Theutaxon directs the comment towards Tabuto with a small bow. Tabuto replies with a similar bow.

With that out of the way the fighters begin their advance on each other. Both move forward with confident strides and as the gap closes Theutaxon draws forth his blade. The metal reflecting the flickering torchlight. Both warriors assess each other as the distance decreases. Within feet of each other the two snap into a deadly dance.

Theutaxon acts first as his blade sings out at the constantly flowing form of Tabuto. The martial artist drops low and spins, sweeping his leg out at Theutaxon. The bladed warrior leaps off the ground and twists his body to avoid the fist heading at his midsection. As his feet touch the ground, the metal blade connects with flesh and Tabuto recoils from the sting as blood sprays both fighters. Tabuto's next kick is off as he tries to step back and Theutaxon answers with yet another strike, this time nearly severing Tabuto's arm from the rest of his body. Theutaxon steps back to give the severely wounded man a breath only to have a fist graze the side of his head. Although not a particularly damaging move it was humiliating. Theutaxon immediately steps back towards the scarred man and thrust his blade out with both hands. Tabuto, bleeding from two severe wounds is too slow to avoid it as the metal splits flesh and drives deep into his body. Major organs explode from the impact of the blade and several gasps are heard as the tip exits his back, slicing the spinal cord in two. Tabuto's legs immediately give out as his body crumples to the floor. Theutaxon stares for a moment at the victim of his blade before crouching down to help make Tabuto more comfortable before the clerics arrive.

A small tear drops down onto the unconscious body of the exotic warrior.
