| Ultrann floats
over the Pit, observing the combatants making their
way towards the field, and the crowds yelling and cheering.
He takes he seat at the judge's observation area. "Another
holy war", he sighs, "Do we have any combatants
who aren't clerics?!?" He stands up and bellows
to the audience, "Presenting Craningar Rue, faithful
servant of Bane, against Crucibal Atesh, faithful servant
of Kossuth!! May they both be blessed." With that,
he signals the guards to open the gates.
Craningar acts first, walking towards his enemy chanting,
"Bane, bind my enemy!!" Crucibal sneers
at his enemies' attempt to hold him in place. He advances
towards Craningar, bellowing, "Silence, Evil
one!" Nothing appears to happen.
Craningar continues to advance on his foe, again
calling to his dark lord: "I ask you Bane, bind
my enemy!" Suddenly Crucibal freezes in place.
Craningar lets out an evil laugh, charges towards
and hits his target squarely with his powerful battleaxe.
Fear wells in the bald dwarf's eyes, as he knows that
none of his spells can save him. Craningar raises
his battle axe, calls his dark lord's name once more,
and strikes his opponent mightily. While the blow
was not enough to kill the bald dwarf, the shock to
his system was too much.
