As "The X Files" grows older and older
And the 'shippers become ever bolder
I wonder who'll be the first
To resolve the URST
Sculls and Krycek? Or Skinner and Mulder?

Yes, it's on once again. The 1999-2000 ATXF Limerick Competition asks you, whether ATXF regular, ATXF lurker, or just zis guy, you know, to write an XF themed limerick.

There are four categories:

  1. EPISODE LIMERICK
Summarise the plot of the episode of your choice. Can be any episode from Seasons One through Six (or indeed, the movie). No doubt people with extra time to spare will want to write a limerick about Secrets of the X Files.
  2. CHARACTER LIMERICK
Describe a character from the series. It can be any of the major characters, or any monster/phenomenon of the week, and so on.
  3. FAN COMMENT LIMERICK
See above for an example. You can sing your love of TXF, or despair that CC has lost his way in S6, or ask why Shiban can't write an episode that doesn't have at least one glaring plothole.
  4. ATXF LIMERICK
A limerick about aus.tv.x-files in some way, whether a character portrait of an ATXFer, or an ode to GIPs, or about QUOTEWARS, or whatever.

The winners (one per category) will be decided by votes, the exact system to be specified later. (When I've thought of it.) Submissions can be made up until the end of May. This deadline may be extended at whim.

Submitted entries can be read on this web site.
