Right, this Lyndal-hating nonsense has gone far enough. First there was
the "I Hate Lyndal Fanclub" started by... err.. someone whose name has
slipped my mind.... ;-)  and then the unmentionable post by Ryan El Fam.
No more!!!

In my brief acquaintanceship with Lyndal she has shown herself to be a
sweet and lovely girl. She has given me a positively delightful present
(details of which will -not- be released), and has made me the
unimaginably wonderful offer of the loan of her season 3 Babylon 5
tapes. This alone is quite sufficient to place her just one step below
the angels.

Accordingly, I am announcing the inception of a new society to be known
as "We Appreciate Lyndal And Will Protect Her With Our Lives" (or
Walawphwol [1]). An alternative and officially sanctioned variation to
the title is "We Adore Lyndal And Will Protect Her With Our Lives". I
hereby ask for Stephen Turtle's approval for Walawphwol to become
affiliated with the Lyndal Cairns Appreciation Society (LCAS), and I do
also hereby apply for membership in the LCAS.

The functions of the Walawphwol are as follows. Any persons who demean,
degrade, insult, abuse, revile, or otherwise mistreat Lyndal or Lyndal's
reputation will be targets of the Walawphwol. Minor infractions will be
punishable by a thwacking (TM) [2]. Severe offences will be considered
unpardonable and the perpetrators will be slain and will have their
heads placed upon a pike as a warning to all others. 

Furthermore, members of the Walawphol have the right to apply similar
punishments to those who ill-use certain other members of aus.tv.x-files
who happen to be friends of Lyndal. In order to increase levels of fear,
suspicion and paranoia in this newsgroup, the names of the participants
also protected by the Charter of the Walawphwol will not be released. Be
wary of whom you assail!

Those who know me from aus.sf.babylon5 will realise that the Walawphwol
is an organisation that is not to be taken lightly. All others, consider
this fact with utmost seriousness, and be warned!
