A Time for Dreams

It is another place,
Dreams guiding us all,
To our past we can remember,
An image, a feature, a familiar face.

We see an old friend,
Relive moments that we cherish,
Times that have gone by,
Hoping that the moment will never end.

Moving forward to the here and now,
We see what is going on at present,
Figuring out what is wrong,
Can things be fixed and how?

We see the same event each time with a different view,
Answers before us, right and wrong,
Which solution will we take?
Choosing from so many, narrowing down to a few.

The dreams we see can be unclear,
Remaining on the side of ambiguity,
Never knowing their true meaning,
Whether there lies hope or if there is fear.

When it comes to our visions we are left to decide,
As memories of where we have been,
Or foretellers of the road ahead,
Dreams are meant to serve as a reminder and as a guide.
