In Touch

The woman looks out the window,
looking for answers that are never there.
She watches the sky shed its tears,
as her expression falls into a blank stare.
"Why do you taunt me?" she cries out,
her voice trembles as she looks toward the sky.
She thinks about what's happened to her,
the memories flood back and makes her cry.
"How I wish I had the answers," she weeps,
"How did I end up in this place?"
She gathers up her belongings,
as she wipes the tears from her face.
With only the clothes on her back,
she heads toward the iron door.
She longs for a better life,
she longs for something more.
"I need to find my place" she mutters,
"I have lost so much."
She gives the room one final glance,
to find herself and get in touch.
