Welcome to Loafy23's Sega Saturn pages!
I finally got one of these wonderful consoles. Cheap too! My Saturn was
advertised in a local weekly advertisement paper for the unbelievably low price of
$50! I thought that it was a misprint or a joke but I couldn't take the chance and
miss out on such a great deal. The guy that was selling the system just wanted to
get rid of it and I was more than happy to take it off of his hands. I received two
controllers, RF adaptor, Memory Card Plus, all other cabling, the console, Sega Rally,
Virtua Fighter, Virtua Cop, and two demo disks. What a deal! I am completely happy with the Saturn. Despite it's poor performance in the US market it is a great console. The poor performance in the market can be attributed to Sega of America and their botched handling of what could have been a real contender. Since Saturn is not very popular most places that carry software for it are marking prices way down. You can get very good titles for $25! |
Game List: (19 games) |
Fighting Games |
Street Fighter Collection | This 2 disk set contains SSF2, SSF2 Turbo, and Street Fighter 2 Alpha Gold. SF2AG is awesome. Probably one of the best one on one fighters that Capcom has ever made. |
Last Bronx | I just got this game in trade. LB is a combination of VF and Soul Edge/Blade. It uses the standard three button scheme of VF but adds weapons like SE/B. Not terribly hard but a fairly solid fighter. |
XMen: Children of the Atom | I love the XMen and lusted after this title for almost two years before getting it for Saturn. It was worth the wait. |
Marvel Super Heroes | Another excellent fighter. Not my fave choice of characters but it's still awesome. Though little known, this title also supports the 1meg RAM expansion cart for the Saturn. With the cart you get even more frames of animation and more detail. |
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge | $9.99 at Wal-Mart!!!! What a bargain for me. :) Another Capcom title. Excellent fighting action. |
Mortal Kombat 3: Ultimate | I originally bought a Genesis for MKII... I think I wore out my MK wants on that title. This game just doesn't do it for me anymore. |
Virtua Fighter Kids | $4.99 at Wal-mart! Another bargain but it ain't all that. |
Fighting Vipers | Similar to the Virtua Fighter series but a lot more fun. |
Virtua Fighter | eh.... it's vf, what else can be said.... next. |
Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Traded Away) | If you cannot find SF Collection then this is the one to get. |
Assorted |
Sega Rally Championship | This was the only rally game for the longest time. Very much an arcade racer it's still a lotta fun. Excellent sound too! |
Daytona USA | Poor translation of the very fun arcade racer... |
Christmas Nights into Dreams | This is a very strange "racing" game... Surrealistic in almost every way. |
The Legend of Oasis | A pretty groovy action RPG. I've played this one quite a bit but have never finished it. |
Panzer Dragoon | A strange shooter. Groovy though. |
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei | The second installment in the PD saga. Very much like the first game but with a few added extras. |
Mass Destruction | This is a neat little tank game. A good solid shooter that allows you to blow up just about everything on the screen.... trees... buildings... people... whatever gets in your way. |
Virtua Cop | I wish I had a couple light guns for this one. It's still a lot of fun even with the joypads. |
Bootleg Sampler | A sample game disk |
Bootleg Sampler II | blah blah blah... II |
Watch here for more to come!
Hell yes! I support free speech on the 'net! Maybe you should too.
