Welcome to Loafy23's SNES pages!
My first SNES was bought about seven or eight years ago. I lost my mind for a while and decided since I couln't afford to buy any new games for the SNES, I'd trade it for an NES and some games. I kept that NES for quite a while and then got rid of it. I've only had this SNES for a couple years now and I don't think that I'll be getting rid of it anytime soon. |
Game List: (18 games) |
Chrono Trigger | Created by SquareSoft several years ago this RPG is the king of RPGs. My favorite (as well as many other's) RPG on any platform. An incredible RPG by any definition. Excellent story, great character developement, and just so much to do! You cannot go wrong by getting this title... IF you can it. At the time that I purchased this game, which was well into the life of the Playstation and Saturn, it was still running around $69-$75!!! I got lucky. I was able to pick it up for $20 used!!! After having finished it I could've spent $75 and still been happy. It's just that good. |
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (This is a very good game.) |
Although not widely known, this is another title from SquareSoft. Back in the day Nintendo and Square were synonymous. That's no longer the case but this action RPG is a helluvalotta fun! |
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past | Zelda defined console RPGs and should be a part of any RPGer's collection. Zelda's appeared on Game Boy, Nes, Snes, and of very recent days, the N64. This version for SNes is awesome. Zelda is an overhead action RPG with many puzzles. It's just packed with fun. :) |
Secret of Evermore | Evermore is the story of a boy and his dog. As you travel through different times your dog will change to suit the environment. Unlike Chrono Trigger the battles are real time instead or turn based. Another excellent RPG from Square. |
Secret of Mana | This is another title that's pretty hard to find. I've not gotten to finish this one though. :( The first RPG that I know of that allowed more than one person to play at a time. From what I have gotten to play I can tell you that this is definitely worth the trouble of finding... Square could do no wrong with the SNes. |
Illusion of Gaia | Based heavily on action IofGaia is a decent RPG. Not on par with the Square titles but it's worth playing. |
Megaman X | I just got this title in trade and have only played the first level. A platformer of some acclaim. |
Donkey Kong Country | When this title was released it was very much acclaimed for it's incredible graphics and game play. DKC is a platformer with many hidden items and levels. Easy difficulty when first started but gets much more difficult as the game progresses. |
Yoshi's Island | Actually the second Super Mario World though this time Yoshi is the main character though. An excellent platformer. |
Super Mario Allstars | Several Mario games on one cart. |
Super Mario World | The standard pack-in for the SNes when I bought mine. A lot of fun though. |
Super Ghouls and Ghosts | SG&G is a very frustrating platformer. This game has a very high difficulty level with the oh so annoying put-you-back-at-the-begining-when-you-screw-up style of game play... VERY FRUSTRATING! |
Killer Instinct | A good fighting game with big combos. KI was played to death by me and my girlfriend. I played it until I had blisters on my fingers and had to stop playing from the pain. It took a couple days for them heal. |
Super Street Fighter II | The classic SSFII! A wonderful port of the arcade game and a blast to play. Much better than the Genesis port of the same title. |
Mortal Kombat I | The first real fighting game for a console. This is the game that got me interested in fighting games. |
Mortal Kombat II | The first game on SNes to show blood. |
Clay Fighter | A humorous fighting game where all the characters are made of clay. |
Uniracers | This is a wild unicycle racing game. A real blast for parties and one on one racing action. Go faster and get more points for doing tricks while you race! Think BMX racing with only one wheel, no rider, and funky tracks. |
Hell yes! I support free speech on the 'net! Maybe you should too.
