Just who (or what) is Gold 28?

My name is Francis Lalumiere. I'm a 24 year old French literature student who spends far too much time tinkering with Star Wars-related projects.
I'm also an official tournament director for Decipher, home of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game. I've been appointed Hoth-B (Eastern Canada) Regional Director and earned my Squadron Membership; as a result I got the 'pilot' nickname "Gold 28".
(I was formerly Red 23, but I got transferred to Gold Squadron.)
