"Designing Java Frameworks for Applications"

This year, at JavaOne, Darren Govoni and I did a presentation of "Designing Java Frameworks for Applications." Much of the presentation was done by Darren Govoni from Metadapt, who authored the book Java Application Frameworks, which was just published this June. (I was a contributing author of the book, so you need to go buy it!) At the conference, Darren discussed the concepts involved of designing frameworks in Java, and I discussed issues related to my past experiences designing a framework for Real-Time Collaboration.
