Mom and a Dead Lizard

Mom and a Dead Lizard
PETE WHITE
Mom and a Dead Lizard (2000).
Woodcut.
8.5 x 10.5".
Artist's Comments:

I did this print for one of the [Baren] exchanges, with the theme being "The Comedy of Life." It illustrates a family favorite moment when my younger brother Jacob placed a 3-inch dead lizard that he found upon the elbow of my mother, who is somewhat phobic. Maybe you had to be there.

Technical Notes:

This was done with oil-based Daniel Smith ink on paper, and hand-printed on a press.
