PETE WHITE Pohai (2002). Woodcut. 13 x 13". |
Pohai is defined in my Hawiian/English dictionary as meaning: "circle, group, as of people, trees; gathering; to gather about in a circle."
This was printed on a found block, a circular piece of 3/4" plywood with a hole in it that I found in a parking lot. It was printed with oil-based Daniel Smith ink on buff colored BFK Rives paper, and hand-printed on a press.
There are prints available.
