KARAZ-A-KARAK:The capital of the dwarven empire and the seat of the dwarven High King Thorgrim Grudge Bearer. IT is the largest and most powerful of the dwarven strongholds and the most important.
KARAK VARN:This fallen stronghold,now known as Crag Mere, over looks the Black Waters. Its once proud mines are now overrun with goblins and treasure hunters.
KARAK UNGOR:This was the first of the dwarven strongholds to fall to the green skins. The night goblin tribe the Red Eyes now inhabit the fortress and have renamed it Red Eye Mountain.
KARAK KADRIN:Known through out the Dwarven Empire as Slayer Keep it protects the ancient dwarven road through Peak Pass. The current king is Ungrim Ironfist the Slayer King.
KARAK EIGHT PEAKS:It lies within and beneath eight mountains. This was once a great hold but now lies in ruin sacked by orcs many hundreds of years ago.
