Sailors for the longest time have told yarns about the ladies of the deep that have come to their salvation. To this day these ladies of legend are spoken of with the awe they so richly deserve. As a sailor myself, I wanted to dedicate a portion of this site towards these legendary Mermaids. They have and forever will remain the beautiful creatures of the deep who protect and capture our hearts.
Flashing like lightning through the crystal blue water,
relishing in the grace of my glide,
with my strong tail, and one final thrust I beach
myself upon the shore,
feeling the cold wave releasing me,
caressing me goodbye.
A thousand thoughts flooding my mind, with one
question
slipping from my lips... Is he here?
I slowly stand, naked to the world, dark eyes
scouring the beach...
Softly smiling as my first tears stream down my
cheeks... he has found me!
And with our first embrace, finally knowing here is
where I belong.
This is the magic!!!
Here,
I sit beside you
close enough to touch
Your scent fills the space around me
Warmth stirs from your body
Yet I must travel far to reach you.
Your heart keeps moving
Journeys afar
Fear of emotion
worlds away.
A glance from your eyes
pleading
you want to be found
Seeking rescue from your faraway place.
Before I can reach
You look away
Distance
An ocean between us
locking doors
You travel.
All the while
I sit beside you.
Out of the Rolling Ocean, the Crowd
Out of the rolling ocean, the crowd, came a drop
gently to me,
Whispering, I love you, before long I die,
I have travel'd a long way,
merely to look on you, to touch you,
For I could not die till I once look'd on you,
For I fear'd I might afterward lose you.
Now we have met, we have look'd, we are safe;
Return in peace to the ocean, my love;
I too am part of that ocean, my love--we are not
so much separated;
Behold the great rondure--the cohesion of all,
how perfect!
But as for me, for you, the irresistible sea
is to separate us,
As for an hour, carrying us diverse--
yet cannot carry us diverse forever;
Be not impatient--a little space--Know you, I
salute the air, the
ocean and the land,
Every day, at sundown, for your dear sake,
my love.
