Metropolis (1926)
Review by Glenn Burgess
This is actually a bit of a class film. It appeals to my less cynical side. The film is set in the future, when the world has become efficient but drab. People filter to work and back home again silently and orderly. Then, one mad scientist changes it all... The story is not original, but bear in mind that this film is 70 years old. Well worth watching, if only to make you seem more cultured.
