The Terminator

(1984)
Review by Glenn Burgess
An excellent, classic example of sci-fi. This film can't really be faulted. It has excellent acting, and a strong cast. The feeling of fragility is kept throughout the film as we realise just how easy a target Sarah Conner really is. And we understand all too clearly the consequences of her death. Some of the effects, such as when we see Arnie's smashed up face look a bit duff, but this somehow adds to their spookiness.
