BRIEF HISTORY

 

Selene is supposed to be the greek goddess of the moon, a powerful witch whose main ability is being a psychic vampire, who supports her eternal life killing people and absorbing their scences and memories.

She fist appeared in Nova Roma, in the middle of the amazonian jungle, where she has established a cult to sacrifice people to the volcano with no opposition from them. As the new mutants got there, they met Amara, daughter to senator Aquila, who had been chosen for sacrifice, but resulted to be a mutant with the ability of controlling magma. All together destroyed the cult, but selene escaped to Manhattan, where she had some slaves in the high society. After a fight with Rachel (Phoenix) Summers, that would later result in Ray trying to kill her, she joined the Hellfire Club, where she was the Black Queen until the arrival of Fitzroy, that captured and tortured her. She eventually escaped to him with help from a very reluctant Amanda Sefton (Daytripper), but dissappeared as the house where she had been held crashed. She obviously escaped, but with injures that would never heal.

 

Now, Selene is back and ready for vengeance. As a start, she has killed all the Externals (not bad, huh?), and she doesn't show any trace of those injures she suffered while she was captured by Fitzroy.
