BRIEF HISTORY

Everett was a standard kid, good student, no troubles, and all that stuff, until he discovered that he was a mutant whose ability was to synchronize his aura to any mutant next to him (although by now, he only keeps the power for a while when the donour is apart, neither does the other lose his/her own powers or isn't he able to control taken them or not (See Rogue to compare)

He felt really good with his new abilities, but then Phalanx appeared and tried to kidnap him. Rescued in the last moment by Banshee, Jubilee, Emma Frost, and Sabretooth, he teamed with them to help the mutants captured by the Phalanx, joining all together later in X Generation. It was Everett Thomas who using Jubilee's power against the phalanx blew them straight to hell.
