The Games of Saberhaven
Mallor Dunadan vs. Latherin Dark

The anticipation has built. Today's featured fight pits an extra-planar man known as Latherin Dark versus the former guildmaster of assassins, Mallor Dunadan.
The crowd waits eagerly as the doors open for the convicted criminal Latherin, found burgling the Lord Mayor's home.
The Assassin Lord walks in slowly, waving to the crowd, with a grim look upon his face and a crossbow in his hands. The crowd quiets as the two meet in battle.
Latherin Dark enters the Arena, bearing the likeness of a Drow Elf. He lets off a force of magical energy at his opponent with no apparent effects which the crowd can see. A Raven resting upon his shoulder soon flies into the air, circles above, not interfering with the combat.
They start to pace around in a catious circle, never keeping their eyes off of their enemy. Latherin gauges his foe, keeping his hand within the pouch at his belt.
As the assassin fires his crossbow, the Aamisar sprikles himself with enchanted dust, turning himself invisible. The bolt flies wide.
Latherin Dark moves silently in a circular path towards Mallor's flank, keeping his eyes registered on Mallor's face, making sure the human can't see him. The Aasimar takes a stone and tosses it somewhere behind Mallor, trying to make the Assassin turn around and expose his backside to him. In which Latherin unsheathes his Ghostly sword and moves in for a backstab attack.
Mallor stands deadly still, closing his eyes and focusing on the presence around him. He doesn't startle when the pebble is thrown.
Pulling his Ghostly sword, the Aasimar strikes the assassin from behind, the sword's blade easily passing through the man's armor as if it weren't there.
Mallor spins with his katana stretched out, hoping to slice his invisible opponent, but to no avail, Latherin sidesteps it, not wishing to reveal himself just yet to his enemy.
The Aasimar then leaps back, gaining a little distance from Mallor. He then calls upon the imbued powers of his Skull shaped cloak clasp, summoning a Phantasmal Killer from the depths of Mallor's mind.
The beast, visible only to the two combatants, appearatly scares the daylighs out of the assassin, though he seems physically uneffected by it.
Latherin takes his time to pull his hand crossbows from his belt and fire off all four shots. All four stick, two in precarious spots in the neck. Unable to resist the sleep poison, Mallor slumps down to the groud.
The healing priests rush over to the fallen man, then announce his sleeping state. Reluctantly, the onlooking Lord Mayor waves free the burgler at the cheers of the crowd.
