The Games of Saberhaven
Brandibus Vandmeer vs. Kabaal the Justifier
        Strolling into the Arena is the ranger known as Kabaal the Justifier. The crowd cheers him on and you can tell he is well liked.
       The crowd suddenly becomes quiet as Brandibus Vandemeer steps into the Arena. He is a feared component and is one of the Dukes of Hell on Earth. Two ioun stones slowly float above his head, and he wields two magical shortswords in his left and right hands. He is surrounded by a glow which only hints at the magical protections protecting his person.
       This will look to be a great fight with the odds favoring neither of the competitors.
        The crowd watches as Brandibus seems to fade from sight.
        Kabaal follows and suit and disappears from view. The crowd start booing loudly as they cannot see neither fighter.
        The crowd hears a whistling sound as Brandibus reappears throwing four daggers as the ranger. The first two embed themselves in the ranger's left arm and shoulder, and the ranger reappears, the third dagger misses by a hair, and the fourth strikes him right in the chest.
        Kabaal ignores the pain in his shoulder as he some how lets fly two arrows from his longbow, hitting the evil Duke in the chest twice.
        Brandibus bellows in anger and fades from sight once more.
        Kabaal seems to activate some type of spell, and the crowd watches as he takes a defensive stance with an arrow knocked and ready to fly.
        Brandibus fades back into view eighteen feet behind the ranger, Kabaal side steps and turns around, dropping his bow to the ground and drawing both his swords.
        Brandibus strikes out four times with his two short swords. The ranger elegantly parries two of the attacks, but the second catches the ranger in his upper thigh causing a minor wound, while the fourth strike is a well placed blow to the upper torso doing some damage but not stopping the ranger.
        The Duke feels that he has less strength and knows what has happened. His enchantments fade away. Once again he bellows in anger.
        The crowd tries to cheer Kabaal on, hoping to give him strength. Kabbal draws his long swords and engages the bellowing human, slicing twice at Brandibus, causing to slashes into the Duke's chest.
        Brandibus returns with his own attacks, missing wildly once and causing a gash in the ranger's upper thigh, opening the previous wound even more.
        Kabaal attacks once more with his long sword which barely misses the angered Brandibus who slices at you again with his short sword, and grazes you in the cheek which causes a small wound.
        Both of the fighters trade more attacks, the Duke using his two short swords masterfully, causing four more bloody wounds on the ranger, two in the right torso, one to the rangers left leg, and the other across Kabaal's left arm.
        Kabaal matches the Duke one for one wielding his two long swords and causing two red slashes on Brandibus' chest and another wound to his arm.
        Both fighters are starting to look extremely weak as both are covered in their own or the other's blood. The crowd knows that this battle will not last much longer, and they keep chanting "Kabaal, Kabaal," hoping that this will keep the ranger going.
        Though both warriors are majorly wounded and dying, they press their attacks. The crowd loves the action as these two fighters match each other in skill and fighting prowess and stand on in as the action is building to a climax.
        Kabaal, wielding his two swords quicker, strikes and is parried by one of Brandibus' short swords. Kabaal then swings his sword at the evil fighter causing another wound to Brandibus' chest.
        Brandibus uses his other short sword quickly stabbing the ranger in the stomach and causing the ranger to drop the sword from his left hand, which he uses to clutch at the painful wound. The ranger falls to his knees losing his other sword as he tries to use his hands to stop the bleeding.
        Brandibus turns away from the defeated ranger and walks out of the Arena and away from the booing audience who are disappointed at the defeat of Kabaal.
        Priests run out onto the field and quickly cover the rangers wounds as they take him off the field.
