The Games of Saberhaven
|
It is nice weather today, perfect for a fight many fans agree. And
the two fighters matched up should be good. On one side is the iceling Jurak
Snowaxe, who has done well in the Games and is excepted to defeat his
opponent, Guurnsh the minotaur. As the two fighters step forward through their entrance gates, the crowd's heads swing back and forth looking between the two. Both look very impressive. Jurak stands almost 16 feet tall, his light blue skin ripples with muscle as he clenches two seven-foot long blades in massive hands. A cloak drapes over his massive frame and rings flash on his fingers. Not to be intimidated by his massive opponent, Guurnsh steps forward, his body clad in shimmering mail. His entire body except for his hooves and head is covered in steel, blood slowly dripping down from his mouth and covering his mail with a crimson stain. Two massive shiny horns extend up from his skull, making him all the more imposing. There are no weapons apparent on him, but he is holding a large boulder, arm muscles tensed to throw. The fight begins with a cheer from the crowd. Jurak sprints across the Arena, holding his swords out in front of him defensively. Guurnsh walks forward slowly, keeping a hold on his cargo. They continue their advance, it looks like they will clash close to Guurnsh's doors. However, as Jurak flies forward, his long legs eating up the distance, Guurnsh steps back and gauges the distance, he then lets out a roar and hurls his rock. However, with only two fingers on one hand Guurnsh is unable to control the boulder and it merely rolls toward his opponent at a fast rate. Jurak puts his swords out to stop it, then reconsiders and side steps. It rumbles on by, its inertia carrying it about 50 yards away from the minotaur. The iceling flicks a gaze over its shoulder at the boulder, then sheathes a sword and strides toward it. Guurnsh in the mean time slips a rod from his belt and pulls a shield from his back. He then rushes toward his opponent's back swinging the rod over his head. As he does so he pushes a button along its haft and suddenly it lengthens and sprouts axe blades on each side. Jurak looks over his shoulder at the charging minotaur and speeds up, but just before reaching the boulder, an axe sinks into his back. The strength of the blow is tremendous as Jurak stumbles forward into the boulder. He takes a deep breath, then grabs it, whirls around and hurls it at Guurnsh at point blank range. The massive minotaur throws his shield up in front of him and sets his body for the impact. It strikes and bounces off the angled front of the shield with a ringing sound. The two warriors stare at each other as the boulder rolls away until bumping softly into the side of the Arena. As one they lunge at each other. Jurak snatched his other sword from his belt wile Guurnsh gets right down to business and sends his axe screaming through the air toward the iceling knee. Jurak slips his knee to the side and feels the axe graze his skin, breathing a sigh of relief he snakes forward sword and puts the other in a defensive position. His blade slashes through the minotaur furred hide leaving a bloody trail. A ring on his hand flashes and the bloody wound on his back heals up and starts to scab over incredibly fast. Guurnsh lashes forward again with his axe, but Jurak is prepared with his other sword at the defense and blocks the incoming weapon. Throwing his enemy's axe arm back he then launches into an incredible attack routine, sending his blades forward in a double side long chop. His swords slice beneath Guurnsh shield slicing deep into his person. His ring flashes again and the cut on his back vanishes completely. Guurnsh breathes heavily and coughs up some blood, then brings his shield up again to defend himself and brings his axe to the ready. Jurak presses the attack, whirling his blades through elaborate attack routines, moving lightning fast he moves in with his swords lashing out. His fast attack is met by an equally fast attack. Guurnsh's eyes are filmed over in bloodlust and he lets out a bestial roar of rage. His axe screams through the air at the iceling's head. Jurak remains calm in the face of his insane enemy and sends a blade up to counter, then he slams home, his swords a blur of motion. He slashes through his enemy's armor and scores two hits on his enemy's weapon arm. Bones crunch as the iceling's incredible strength shatters the bone in the minotaur forearm. Guurnsh wobbles a second than collapses on the ground. Jurak stands proud as he his announced that winner, then strides regally for the exit, not showing a single scar.
