Dudley vs. Toron Today the stands are packed for the fight to come. This fight consists of The Minatour Champion Toron and a new addition to the games, Dudley, a psionicist turned paladin. It has been said he has come to bring the Judgment of Waru to all he faces. The crowd wants to know What that is and to see if he has the skill to stand up to Toron. The names are called and the competitors step forward. On one side stands Toron and he never fails to impress the crowds with hi size, strength and array of dangerous weapons. Four Dudleys step in on the other side, he stands Head to toe in full plate mail engraved with the holy symbol of Waru, only His head is strangle uncovered revealing an open, honest face. In each Hand is held a glowing sword and a beautiful white cloak billows behind him. Toron looks down at his own unremarkable attire and shrugs. The gong sounds out and the fight begins. Dudley focuses very intently on Toron, obviously summoning some sot of psychic power. Toron jogs forward, then glances at the 4 of them, shrugging again he says "Eenie meanie miny moe" as he takes a heavy javelin from his back and throws it at Dudley. The Paladin watches the incoming missile then swats it down with a sword. Toron growls and glances again at the four of them. They stand in an even row, but Every 30 seconds they abruptly blur and all the images shift around. Toron pulls his twin blades off his back; the jagged edged blades both extend over six feet long and shine with enchantment. The crowd cheers as those blades come out knowing that the carnage is about to begin. The Minotaur roars in fury and sprints toward Dudley. The four Dudley's all raise their hands to their heads and try to summon mental energy. Obviously, he did not get the desired result as he shakes his head back and forth, then brings his swords up in front of him defensively. Toron does a massive over hand chop with both blades one slicing right through one of the Dudleys. The other gets caught on one of Toron's straps crossing his back, it looks like he was about to slice through his own head, however his prowess as a warrior enables him to get the cut under his control. Then Torn stands open mouthed, as there are still four Dudley's in front of him; the one he hit did not vanish. Then they all abruptly shimmer and move around. The poor bull man blinks his eyes in bewilderment. Then sighs, realizing this will be long fight. Dudley makes his move as Toron considers his options. He swings forward with twin holy swords, slashing directly at his enemies midsection. As the blades swing forward a flash of light comes up from them, Toron looks confused and then enraged as he realizes what has occurred. Dudley's first swing misses completely; he cleaves through empty air. The next two shots pound home, carving up Toron pretty bad. Toron roars in agony, then lashes forward with savage speed, His first blow is very powerful and on target. His second hit would have taken off the real Dudley's head if it hadn't struck an illusion, Toron again lands a shot on The Paladin's midsection, his final strike whips over the head of all the illusions. Toron takes a quick step back to assess his own wounds and concludes he can go on. His opponent looks ready to hit the floor however. Toron grins and licks his blades, tasting Dudley's blood. He then flexes his muscles, then winces in pain at the deep cuts in him. Dudley looks bravley on, though he feels colder and colder, his life force ebbing out of him. He shakes away the feeling and again strikes at his enemy. He connects all 3 times, Toron bellows in anger and his vision clouds with red stars. He takes a couple steps back to absord the blows directed at him. He then comes back at the Paladin with his own combination attacks. However, Waru smiles at his champion as Toron's blades slash through images and not Dudley. The Bull man's eyes widen in panic as he takes stock of his situation. Dudley tastes victory here, and steps forward with full confidence. He again launches his blur of attacks. However Toron backs up a step, and does not put his blades in a ready position. Instead his action is much quicker, and beats Dudley to the punch, abruptly all the matted blood and torn fur began to mend. Toron stands straighter and then smailes, a rather ghastly sight. Dudley breathes a prayer to Waru to allow him to defeat this beast. He then strikes, his god seems to have forgotten about his faithful follower for the time being as Dudley completly loses control of his second swing. He stumbles forward, but with magical help he regains control and glances up to see the deep gash in the rejuvinated Bull mans chest. Toron smiles at the much shorter Dudley "You have fought well my brave friend but it is now time to end this." He flicks a gaze at the four Dudleys then stabs forward into two seperate ones. There is a scream that is cut short as suddenly the four paladins merge into one that is hung limply on the end of Toron's blade. He gives a bestail voctory shout and throws the body to the ground, then stride out of the arena to the cheers of hundreds.
