The Arena is hushed as the judges nod their ascent for the doors of the Arena to be opened. The crowd is grinning in anticipation, it promises to be, an interesting match. Lily, the newcomer, was, after her easy defeat and gracious victory over Kiri, gaining a fast following. The towering Warlord Isco, unfavoured in the Games due to a lack of initiative on the behalf of the barbarian, but feared nonetheless for his battle prowess and amazing strength and toughness -some say he could take a cannonball without flinching. The doors swing widely open, and Warlord Isco stalks into the room. His booming voice bellowing throughout the grounds. "Come, Faith-Warrior" he yells. "Let us dance the dance of your death." A few snickers are drawn from the crowd. However some begin to wonder if perhaps their bets are safe. The Warlord stands immensely tall, his only possessions an engraved, but simple amulet, his giant longbow with a quiver, and a huge longsword that many a lesser man would have considered a bastard sword. Lily walks through the other door, her face impassive and calm. She moves swiftly over the sands of the place, and holds out a hand towards her opponent. "As you wish" she murmers, barely audible even to the closest of the crowd, and a bolt of pink-white energy darts towards her opponent. Followed by another, and another, and then another six more. The nine bolts of power slash across the Arena with ease passing midair a single arrow that was loosed while everyone watched the druid. The single arrow strikes Lily with contemptuous ease from the Warlord's almost neglectful firing. However the razor sharp edge, propelled by corded muscle and powerfull bow, does not break Lily's skin. Instead it passes straight through her, and shoots out the other side, passing half a foot deep into the stone behind her. The Warlord gazes in disbelief, scantly noticing the missiles of power that bash one by one into his frame. Three of them leave no trace even of striking the giant man, however the other six impact firmly, leaving marks. But the Warlord... doesn't even notice them! The Warlords arrows are loaded again into his giant bow as he roars. "Coward, come out from behind your spells and let's see you ignore me then!" Another arrow streaks across the Arena towards the Druid as she walks calmly, even casually towards her opponent. The arrow strikes true, but again, it slips through her body, leaving ripples behind. The Warlord's eyes narrow in disbelief, seemingly concentrating a moment, and then with a growl he looks off to the side slightly to see Lily's form blurred with another. Concentrating, he finds the real one with ease. Lily winces slightly as she walks, but quickly hides any semblance of pain from her face. It does not seem to come from the Warlord however. She walks forward, just now placing one of her ioun stones down into her pouch. She plucks another from the air even as another nine missiles streak towards the Barbarian. This time, only four of the nine missiles dare to harm the giant man, and he again shrugs it off as he would if he'd been bitten by a mosquito. Lily keeps on walking, unhurried but covering vast distance, her hasted self speeding her up even further as she manages to cover the distance, stopping only a mere ten feet or so away from her opponent. Lily's face remains impassive as she reaches down and pulls her scimitars free, her cloak, wrapping and flicking out, also seems to hold up another scimitar, much to the Warlord's anger. "DIE MAGIC USER" The giant man screams in rage at the sight of such obvious magic, and he drops his bow, leaping at Lily with a furious rage. It seems that Lily is the faster however, and her blades slash swiftly, four wounds open up upon the giant man's body, though it merely draws a dark grunt of pain from him. Her fifth strike, with her cloak arm, slashes up but overextends, and her cloak wraps around her sword arms; effectively crippling the remainder of her attacks. Isco's sword swings hard, two blows slicing one way, then doubling back to strike the other. The blows slam into Lily, and knock her slightly off balence, but no damage is done! The Warlord reels as Lily's magics destroy his weapons' usefulness, and he takes a step back as she leaps forward, untangling her arms. The Warlord had seen such spells before, as despicable as they were, and so when Lily leaps forwards, he prepares himself to keep swinging. "Your hardened skin trick can't last forever!" Lily merely smiles as her arms untwine, and swing, again and again and again. The Warlords great arms swing in return also, though at a speed so very much slower than his opponent. Lily keeps on, ignoring every blow that lands upon her over the next three minutes, where her blades slice easy gaps open in the Warlord as she presses her attack home. Her lower arm again wraps around her two normal arms in a dangerous miss, she growls, though she had opened a good four gaps in her opponent once more. The Warlord's sword strokes both hit once more, but bounce off uselessly as Lily starts to smile, his uselessness of attacks bringing more and more time for her to kill the big man. Lily's arms again unfold themselves and she growls in annoyance at how much it is slowing her down. She leaps forward again, and strikes. This time she does not tie up her arms, and eight great blows shake the giant Warlord, knocking him back a handful of steps as they hammer in with lightning quick succession. The Warlord rocks back towards Lily, stubbornly refusing to admit that she is the better fighter, refusing also to admit that his sword cannot harm her. Though he continues to swing his strikes yet again stop solid, not cutting her skin in the slightest. Lily presses her attack as the giant man begins to rock, seemingly about to collapse to the ground. His sword still swings, but his aim is terrible now as he bites back the pain from his many many wounds. Lily's swords dance in front of him, and in an amazing show of skill.... a whole TWELVE new gashes open on the giant man. He looks down, and then falls. Lily is forced to dodge to the side as he collapses, dead at her feet. Lily waits until the crowds cheering is at its peak, and the judge nods his acent, then she leans down, one stone glowing brightly above her head as she brings the man back to life, bows shortly to the crowd. And leaves.
