The Games of Saberhaven Delgoth Telva vs. Jurak Snowaxe
|
Again the Iceling enters the ring carrying a boulder, this time to
cheers from the crowd. Also met by cheers is the dark elf Delgtoh Telva, a
cunning opponent, if not deadly. Jurak starts with a throw of his boulder, but fails to strike the dexterious elf. Delgoth's cloak spreads behind him into wings and he flies into the air. He suddenly disappears. Jurak waits patiently, listening carefully for the attack. The invisible Dark Elf takes his cahnce to outline the Iceling with Faerie Fire. Finishing the spell, Delgoth dives down at the giant. Jurak is set, catching the invisible elf with his sword. Following his swipe, the Iceling is blasted form his feet by a deadly hit. His head reels as he falls to the ground. Looking up he sees the elf, now visible, flying back up into the air. The dark elf swoops in again with his demonic staff held forth. The Iceling manages to parry the blow from the staff this time through and return with one shot of his own. The dark elf flies back into the sky, out of sword range, and begins transforming into a writhe, demonic shape. The change complete, the four-armed, nine-and-a-half foot tall, horned tanar'ri rushes forward on foot to battle the ice giant. Jurak tries to strike at the Tanar-ri's left-most arm, but misses as the creature slashes out at him. He dodges the slash, and the next, but gets caaught with a right arm and the snap of the bite. Failing to parry the beast's quick arms, Jurak brings his huge two-handed sword down and breaks the Tanar'ri's right arm, and knocking him unconscious.
