Employment HistoryMML Investor's Service, Inc., Springfield, MA (5/00 to Present)Technical Consultant: MML Investor's Services Inc, (MMLISI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of MassMutual. Upon transfer to this organization, I was assigned the principal duties of 1) assessing the current state of technology employed at MMLISI and 2) architecting future enhancements to this technology which would be inline with MassMutual's strategic vision. In this capacity, I designed the integration of a MMLISI specific application for Contract and Licensing into a a MassMutual wide application utilizing webMethod's Enterpise Server and BEA's WebLogic Java servers.Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., Springfield, MA (8/98 to 5/00)Technical Specialist (8/99 to present): Upon being promoted to Technical Specialist, added responsibilities for voice/data integration planning for corporate CTI and Voice Recognition initiatives. Continued as Unix support and VRU administration.Senior Programmer/Analyst (8/98 to 8/99): Assigned as a member of the Server Support Group; responsible for System Administration, Security and Support for all Unix platforms across the enterprise. MassMutual currently has three Unix platforms with multiple servers: IBM RS/6000, HP-UX and Solaris. I was the primary contact for the Periphonics Interactive Voice Response (IVR) units, providing administration and programming support in both the VRAM and PeriProducer dialects. I am also the focal point for Information Systems in bringing Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) to MassMutual. During 4Q98 to 1Q99, I participated in MassMutual's selection of a Customer Interaction Center vendor. I was the primary architect of the CTI infrastructure to support the selected vendor (Lucent/Quintus). I have written numerous scripts and binary utilities for system management on Unix platforms. Periphonics Corporation, Bohemia, NY (3/97 to 8/98)Field Service Engineer: Periphonics is a supplier of premium Voice Response Units (VRUs). Responsible for maintaining, servicing and installing computer systems and TCP/IP networks in the Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA region. .Lockheed-Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Bloomfield, CTProgrammer, NEXRAD (NEXt generation weather RADar) Support Center, Bloomfield, CT (6/96 to 3/97): Assigned to develop software for two ongoing projects at Lockheed-Martin: A logistics support program and an automated test station. The Automated Test Station utilized National Instruments CVI/LabWindows to control several pieces of electronic test equipment (via IEEE 488.2) and communicate with a custom designed test fixture. The test database was tied into the tracking database to provide a ISO 9000 compliant audit trail of the repair process. Lead Engineer, NEXRAD Installation and Checkout , Bloomfield, CT (1/93 - 6/96): I managed various five man teams during the installation of 25 NEXRAD systems around the country.Test Supervisor, NEXRAD Factory Support, Bloomfield, CT (1/91 - 1/93): I supervised cabinet level testing of the system subassemblies. I developed an automated test station for the NEXRAD receiver in our production test facility. Field Engineer, Technical Support Services, San Diego, CA (6/87 - 1/91): Technical Support Services contracted with commercial shipyards overhauling US Navy ships. We performed repair and testing of the combat systems suite, including Detection, Tracking and Combat Decision. B&M Associates, San Diego, CA (9/86 to 6/87)Electronic Technician: Employed as a contract employee to Sperry (later Unisys), who subsequently hired me as a full time employee. I was in charge of overhauling electronic assemblies which were government assets.US NAVY (11/77 to 9/86)Served in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician. I was assigned to maintenance of Air and Surface Radar, Navigational and communications equipment. I also was assigned as the divisional training petty officer. |
