The Asp is a general, all-purpose droid found throughout the galaxy. Their minimal frame allows them to be extremely adaptable: they are used to perform tasks ranging from unloading freighters to improving fighting skills. Darth Vader has got several Asp droids to help him with his lightsaber training.
Assassin droids are intelligent killing machines. These automated weapons systems are programmed to hunt down specific targets and destroy them. They have been illegal for several decades, but many of these deadly droids are covertly serving the Empire and criminal organizations. Some are even free-roaming automatons who have broken their own programming, like IG-88.
Astromech droids specialize in starship maintenance and repair. Some models also assist with piloting and navigation. They interface with starship computers to monitor and diagnose flight perfomance. Luke Skywalker's droid, R2-D2, is an astromech droid.
Avaro, a member of the Rodian species, is the owner of a small casino in the gambling complex of Equator city, in Rodia. This complex is run by Black Sun. He is much fatter than most of the Rodians, and speaks Basic with a lispy acccent. Avaro is Greedo's uncle. Greedo was a bounty hunter hired by Jabba the Hutt to dispose of Han Solo after Solo failed to complete a smugling job for the crime lord. Solo was forced to dispose of the bounty hunter in order to save his own life.
