Mystical Shaman

ATTEND and hear of the stories of yesteryear,
of the legends of Mystic Adventures,
of the Legend of the Clan of Mystical Shaman

A Long Time Ago, in the land of Mystic Adventures, there lived a group of people who were interested in more than just the regular workings of the realm. These people were known only to themselves and had no formal name.

After a Great While had passed, the great gods warned of an upcoming purge of the land, wherein the land-masses would be moved and the mortals would be massacred. These brave information gatherers, rather than revel in the freedom given by such an announcement, gathered as much knowledge as they could, and, with the help of the Immortal Kethry (may her name be forever praised), hid it from the Great Gods in an undestructable room.

After the Pfile-wipe (as the Purge came to be known), none rembered the existence of this hidden room. None, that is, save the Immortal Kethry (may her name be forever praised).

After a Long Time, a mortal by the name of Rahvin stumbled across some old scrolls that had appeared in the Mystic Academy (may it prosper for all time to come). An ordinary dweller might have merely sacrificed the scrolls and gone about his/her/its business, but Rahvin was no ordinary dweller. For Rahvin had obtained more deaths than the average mortal. Verily, Rahvin had obtained nine and eighty and one hundered deaths before obtaining his forty-second level, giving him the opportunity to rival the legendary Elrod (of whom snails sang their laments).

Rahvin had learned from his multitude of deaths that things are not often as they appear. These scrolls hinted at a wealth of knowledge that the Immortal Kethry (may her name be forever praised) was guarding.

Taking his deductions to the Immortal Kethry (may her name be forever praised), Rahvin had never imagined the response that he would get. For the Immortal Kethry (may her name be forever praised) revealed to Rahvin that this great agglomeration of knowledge truly did exist, and that he was to be the Guardian of afore-mentioned knowledge.

But, the relavation continued, the Great Gods, in their anger, had hidden the location from the Immortal Kethry (may her name be forever praised) as well. And so, in order to be deemed worthy of being the guardian of this knowledge, Rahvin was sent on a Quest: To locate the Missing Room and make it accessible to the realm of mortals once more.

And so the chronicles speak: Of the taming of the Newbie Killer (which Rahvin forced into retirement); of Rahvin's entry into the Big Brother/Big Sister/Big Thing program, and his obtaining the title of [MENTOR]; and, finally, of his discovery of the Room of Knowledge, which had been hidden under the Mystic Academy (may it prosper for all time to come).

With this great achievement, even the Great Gods were forced to acknowledge the tenacity of Rahvin and awarded him the title of Guardian of the Knowledge and allowed him to form the Clan of Mystical Shaman.

In the beginning, the Clan was met with much resistance; for this Clan differed from all other clans in its focus on the esoteric as opposed to the physical. However, after Very Little Time, the Clan of Mystical Shaman (also known as --) began to earn a reputation as one that people could turn to with questions and recieve knowledgeable answers. This was due to the not insignificant achievements of the only other Clan member, Storen.

For Storen had seen what was represented by the Clan and joined as soon as he was able. Storen went on a Realm-wide trek, spreading the virtues of -- and teaching, by example, of the importance of knowledge. In honor of his dedication, Rahvin awarded Storen the title of Guide of the Realm.

So sing the chronicles, and we know no more.
