The presentation the the inaugural winner 1997 Mick Frawley

Mick shot a 78 on the first day and followed it with a 77 on the second
The winning score was a fanatstic 155

After the first very successful PJ Murphy Invitational in Dromoland Castle Golf and Country club some people were comparing this to Gary player's Sun City Million Dollar Competition but for those who experienced it first hand know its on a par with that, with that little bit extra. Michael Frawley led the way from the first tee box on a cold Sunday?? afternoon and never looked back. He shot an incredible 155 gross for the two days. The only challengers were John and PJ who did their best but there best was not enough. There was a stewards inquiry on the first day with an "Unplayable Lie, 1 stroke penalty, drop in the middle of the fairway" rule. At the end of the day the CREATOR of this rule got his just rewards!! A special thanks goes out to Rob and Turbo for doing a great job for the Lads.
