Day 2 started out as a beautiful sunny day. most of us were very hung over but soon for got it all in the beautiful surroundings of Glasson Golf club. A truely majestic gem on the shores of Lough Allen.Have a look at some of the photos...

This year saw something happen that has never happened before. Both Dave and Barry finished tied for first place after 36 holes on a score of 149 strokes. As rule 23b of the PJMurphy Invitational rule book states the two players had to make their way to the 17th green and play the hole a second time. A coin was tossed and Dave won and elected to play first. He played a 5 iron off the ground and hit to the back of the green. Barry then followed with a 5 wood and ended up at the right had side of the green. Barry played his second only to a couple of feet. Dave had the pressure of a down hill put and collapsed. Barry knocked in for par to become the 2001 Invitational Champion...
