Heinlein phrased it more politely than I do in the GeoCities
neighborhood listing "billboard" for
this homepage, but indeed we all should remember that
"Specialization is for insects."
By profession, I'm a computer programmer working in COBOL, BASIC,
FORTRAN, and anything else that will hold still long enough for
me to take a poke at it (now including HTML, Java, C++, VB, etc.).
By inclination, I am a teller of tales and singer of songs, trying to live the life of a bard who has become mis-placed in time. By desire, I will become even better at all of this, and more. Given time, given opportunity, and the wherewithal...
Ain't no other real rules, reasoning, or constraints on where my interests wander, folks. 'Ceptin' fer me at least trying' to act like a gentleman.

I was born to the name of Mike Chesley Baker.
I am known among a number of communities as Kihe Blackeagle. It is as much my name as the one on my birth certificate, and in some ways moreso. Walk a while with me, in the space created by these words and images. Think upon what you will, and understand that what you see here is only the barest hint of what I am, and what we all can be.
Never anger a little man, for he will kill you. When I asked my father why this was an important thing to remember, he explained that big men are accustomed to proving their strength and know when they need to pull their punches. A little man, threatened, can not afford the luxury of attacking with less than the maximum force, as he knows that he will not be able to absorb damage and make a second strike.
I have noted for my self, and the version of this which I will
tell my sons, that the principle applies triple for most women
convinced that they are in danger, and quadruple for mothers
defending their children from real harm.
