"Flagship to Endevor . . . stand by to engage at grid A-fifteen."
"Defiant and Bozeman, fall back to mobile position one. . ."

A cascade of overlapping voices, some laced with adrenaline, followed.

"Acknowledged, flagship."
"We have visual range!"
"We see it-- a Borg cube on course zero mark two-one-five--"
"Speed: warp nine point eight."

In the midst of the purely humanoid cacophony, a new sound came-- not an individual voice adding a fresh skein to
the chorus, but one consistent with a hundred, a thousand, a million whispers hammered into a solitary thought that
obliterated all others:

"We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological
distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.
"We are the Borg."

Static over the subspace channel, followed abruptly by the stern, confident command of a Starfleet Admiral:

"All units open fire."

A jumble of humaniod voices-- punctuated by more static and ever closer explosions-- followed: some female,
some male; some the low, stern orders from experienced captains, others the high-pitched reports of green
young officers.

"Remodulate shield nutation!"
"We're losing power. . . ."
"Warp core breach!"
"All hands abandon ship!"

The admiral's voice came again, no longer stern, but laced with panic.

"This is the flagship! They've broken through the defense perimeter. They're heading towards Earth! Pursuit course!
Break off the attack and--"

ATTENTION ALL STAR TREK FANS!

That is the sound of war. Hi-Tech, bloody, gruesome, all out, WAR. No 'if's, 'and's, or 'but's about it. The opponents:
Viacom, Inc. (personified to be the Borg), and the loyal, faithful, and determined fans of Star Trek (personified to be
the Federation and any other Resistance forces). The reason: to stop the Borg from assimilating all unofficial Star Trek
related WWW sites into their collective, thereby wiping them off the Internet.

Now, I bet some of you are saying, "Hey, I'm a Trekker (if your a Trekkie, well...), and dammit, I want a fight!" Well, you
wanted 'A Piece of the Action', you got it. Several major resistance forces have been set up throughout the world to stop
the invasion. These forces are:

Unfortunately, Federation/Resistance forces cannot be successful in every Borg invasion attempt that is made. There just
isn't a big enough line of defense. There are still many sites out there (such as this one; until now) that have gone unscathed.
HQ has compiled a list of sites that have been or are in the process of being assimilated into the collective. They are:

So if you want to stop this blaitant act of defying our rights of free speech, join one of the 'factions' listed above, and try
to bring Star Trek freely back onto the Internet. As for trekkers who run Star Trek related web sites, this issue is
especially important. Consider your long-houred hard work a prime target for a Viacom strike. Wanna take the chance?

"Assimilate this!!!! -- Lt. Cmdr. Worf, Star Trek: First Contact.
