"It will be a hard life. One without reward, without remorse, without regret. A path will be placed before you. The choice is yours alone. Do what you think you cannot do. It will be a hard life. But in the end, you will know who you are."

This page is for the newer Jedi RPers of Ayenee. And for you vets out there too. Here are just a few notes on how a Jedi should maybe act (in my humble and not very educated opinion). And also a little about the abilities of a Jedi in Ayenee.
~A Jedi is often looked at as an example of how society should conduct itself. Though no one is perfect, a Jedi should still act in a half way decent manner.
~Jedi should be as helpful as they can to everyone without being a pest. Always OFFER to help first. Don't just jump in and assume control of a situation.
~No matter what situation you are in, always keep the Code Of The Jedi in your thoughts. Act accordingly.
~To act aggressively towards anyone is not appropriate. A Jedi never provokes a fight, no matter the circumstances. They often choose to instead find an alternative to combat.
Always work positively. Either for a positive effect to the world around you and/or yourself.
~A Jedi really hates no one. Though they certainly can disagree with certain acts someone has committed. All beings, no matter their actions, are still a part of the Force. And therefore an essential part of the Jedi's world.
~Always act with calmness and clarity.
~Never ever draw your weapon first. And use it only if you really need to.

About Jedi abilities in Ayenee:
- A Jedi is natural very fast without any prep. Partially due to their enhanced reflexes. They can't, for example, dodge a bullet shot at them. They can however block or deflect it away with a lightsabre or other appropriate item.
- The Force is considered an innate ability. So all powers, even a simple Force Push, requires at least one line of prep.
- As mentioned, Jedi do indeed have faster reflexes than most in Ayenee without prep. This is something natural to Jedi, and can not be 'turned off'. With no prep a Jedi can sense an attack coming at him a moment or two before the attack even begins. Remember, a Jedi can sense someone's intentions and will know if that someone has intentions of attack. Now for more powerful precognitive skills, then one would have to start prepping.

But what would be considered a good prep? An excellent question, one I have been asked many times. Below is an example of a prep I would maybe use. The main focus in any prep is detail. Detail detail detail. About what you are doing, what is happening, maybe what is going to happen.

JediJason sees the Sith start to walk towards him, making him frown a little. As he grasps his deactivated lightsabre, he spreads his leg stance just a little in preparation for what he knows is coming. The living Force whispers to him from everywhere the upcoming moments as he intensifies his link with it. He starts to calm his breathing as he watches the approaching danger with a cool and calming gaze. He starts to focus on a specific technique of the Jedi, a simpler one.

SithScott growls harshly and now starts in a jog for the calmed Jedi, a fact that only enrages him more. His lightstaff hisses to life, both ends, as he closes the distance between them quickly.

JediJason upon sensing the Sith's weapon, his own comes to life. He slides his thumb over the activator switch, letting lose the 5 foot glowing blue blade. He now stands in chudan no kamae, the middle guard stance, as he calmly watches the Sith. Keeping his right hand on his sabre and still holding it in front of him, the thrusts his open left hand at the Sith and uses a Force Push against his chest. He channels and focuses the energies off all life in the universe to his bidding, but also acting upon the will of the Force. He keeps his footing and his defense up, ready for the Sith's next move.

Well I think you get the general idea towards prepping. Notice the Jedi never drew his weapon first. He was acting completely in self defense.

And finally, maybe the most important thing. I have been here over a year and half now. Jedi in Ayenee do indeed have a bad rep. Mostly because kids who only want to mess around and not be true to their char have used them. This is something I have been trying to fight.
When you RP a Jedi in Ayenee, remember you are representing all Jedi usually. You are setting the standards as to how Jedi are judged in this big ol realm of ours. So good luck, and good gaming.

My thanks
