"I had a dream I was a Jedi ..."

This page is for those of you who wish to make a Jedi char for Star Wars: Forgotten Legends. It's advised you start your char off as a padawan learner. Then work your way up. Here are some things to consider when making your char:

~What Species Is My Char?~
Depending on what species your char is, do a little research about it. Don't just dive in heads first. Think about the traits of your race, physical and emotional. And think about what a Jedi of that race would act like. Also keep in mind your Jedi's rank. A padawan IS going to act different than say, a Jedi Master. That's just how it is.
~What Color Of Lightsabre Blade Should I Use?~
Here is the color and definitions for each lightsabre blade color. Choose your's appropriately:
Yellow/Orange(We believe these two interchangeable) - "Luminous beings are we; not this crude matter." The Yellow abilities deal with energy, both in it's physical and metaphysical forms.
Blue - Mind over matter is the basis for telekinesis; mind over mind is the nature of a Force duel. Blue deals with countering mental attacks, seeking the paths of others' thoughts, and the universe of the mind.
Green - Of all the colors, this is perhaps the most important. Nature is the focus of this discipline, growth, life, and the course of natural evolution are involved with this color. Users of these skills often have a longing for gardens after a while of exposure.
Red - Red is often a symbol of attack and chaos, making it the least used. Still, mastery of these abilities will help those constantly on the front lines of a battle.
Brown - Brown, the color of the rock beneath, invokes the powers of defense. Similar to the "Protection" Sith discipline, the users of this find that power is not as important to this as circumstances are.
Purple/Violet - The color of seeing through illusion is purple. Truth in the face of lies, truth in the face of other truth. Those who specialize in this discipline can see through illusions and dispel them, or simply cause select others to see what is really there.
Silver - ???????

These are the legal blade colors for SWFL.
~I Don't Have A Master!!~
You don't NEED a master to advance. My char is mostly self taught. And I have been told I RP a pretty good Jedi. While it is of course best to have a master, it isn't a necesity in my opinion. Some of the best knowledge is that which you come across and realize yourself.
~Advancing in SWFL~
Advancing in rank as a Jedi is not a task to be taken lightly. It does require dedication and real knowledge of the Force. As well as discipline as a char. Only the best of Jedi RPers make it to master. When you think you are ready, post your bid for advancement on the main SW RP board and/or Tomes Of The Light. There it will be voted on and discussed.

~How A Jedi Should Conduct Themselves~
~A Jedi is often looked at as an example of how society should conduct itself. Though no one is perfect, a Jedi should still act in a half way decent manner.
~Jedi should be as helpful as they can to everyone without being a pest. Always OFFER to help first. Don't just jump in and assume control of a situation.
~No matter what situation you are in, always keep the Code Of The Jedi in your thoughts. Act accordingly.
~To act aggressively towards anyone is not appropriate. A Jedi never provokes a fight, no matter the circumstances. They often choose to instead find an alternative to combat.
Always work positively. Either for a positive effect to the world around you and/or yourself.
~A Jedi really hates no one. Though they certainly can disagree with certain acts someone has committed. All beings, no matter their actions, are still a part of the Force. And therefore an essential part of the Jedi's world.
~Always act with calmness and clarity.
~Never ever draw your weapon first. And use it only if you really need to. 1
