Description

Stands about six feet tall, with dark brown hair and light-blue eyes. Kind of stocky, not fat, but not Mr. Universe, either. Likes to wear denim jeans and a t-shirt, with a denim shirt over the T-shirt. Carries at least one outfit as described on all travel.

Alec (as he likes to be called) has a fear of being in a starship crash. He's not likely to crash in a small fighter-type ship (think X-Wing, TIE-Fighter, etc.) as his skills have been honed for years in the arcade simulators. However, having spent so much time in the arcade, honing his skills as much as possible there, he has neglected his social skills, and finds himself drawn to work under the prettiest or most beautiful woman on the ship. (Being 21 and full of hormones can hurt sometimes.)

All in all, Alec is a decent small-ship pilot- in his mind. His small fear of crashing into an asteroid makes him stay back from any large windows on any kind of ship.

History

Born on Mars in the year 2211 (game year minus 21), his family tried to provide for what they thought would be another intellectual in the family--quiz games, encyclopedias, etc. But all that changed the second Alec walked into an arcade at the age of fourteen. Immediately taking control of a flight simulator-like game, he was bit by the bug and immediately sold some of his old sets of encyclopedias to purchase a MegaGameStation 9 to practice his flying. (Note: He's never flown in a REAL ship before, just the video games. He can talk it, but he can't walk it.)

Alec's parents were killed in a starship crash when he was nineteen, prompting his fear of starship crashes. He knows he was partly responsible for the crash, because he tried to lie to get out of the acadamy for a week. His parents died on the shuttle from Mars to his school on Deimos, and he's never forgiven himself for his part, and is known to get depressed sometimes.

Generally, Alecan (pronounced with the "sharp" c instead of the soft one) is a different character than most. Treat him as an experienced video-game player, with sharpened wits and quick reaction time, but with all the defects described above.
