The Judges for the 1999 X-Day Competition were (in no particular order) :
- Zanorak : A Graphical Design major, current web designer and well recognized graphical artist in the midwest. He will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall of 2000. Zanorak reads comics occassionally, but is not involved in any comic lists, nor has he worked with any of the contestants.
- JokinJeffT : A Mechanical Engineer, major web surfer and all around fun guy. He reads no comic books, but does read many "real" books each week in lieu of working on his Master's Thesis.
- DemonSpeed : Another Mechanical Engineer and major web surfer. Also a self-professed Doom/Quake addict. He doesnt read comics often, but has friends who do. He is involved in no known comic mailing lists.
- Starshot : Currently enduring the middle school years, and is most likely the youngest judge. Plans on becoming a novelist or journalist after graduating from college. Reads many comics every month - absolute favorites are Generation X and Crimson. Also participates in the GenXfans mailing list.
- Finar : Well respected member of the ClubNate mailing list. Reads several comics each month, is well read and has a great sense of humor. Knows good hair when he sees it too.
- Brian : A Computer Science major that was drafted by Shannon into helping count for the X-Day competition. Reads Linux trade journals for fun and has recently gotten his house on a linux-based network. Reads no comics, reads no books. favorite piece of art is his "Pink Floyd - The Wall" poster. But thats okay - he just counts - he doesnt actually judge anything.

The delay with posting the votes was due to two reasons :
- Some Judges took quite a bit of time to evaluate the entries - the last one was received on Wednesday morning.
- Shannon is writing a paper and couldnt get to it till late Wednesday night. (it has only been 10 days since the contest ended. Shannon is sorry for the delay, but just like all the other delays there really wasnt all that much that Shannon could do about it. She really didnt have much help with the editing of the page etc, and she does want to graduate this year. Again, apologies...
