The warp core breach was imminent. The maglocks had destabilised, and the computer 
was unable to compensate. An immediate evacuation of Engineering had been ordered, 
crewman and officers were hurrying out. The Chief Engineer paused by the entrance to 
Engineering.

"Ensign, hurry up!" he snapped.

"Just a minute," she replied, "I know I can fix this."

Her hands danced over the console, trying to work as fast as her mind as she looked for 
a way to override.

"Got it" she said triumphantly.

Suddenly she began to shake. Blinking, she looked up to see her teacher.

"Mary Sue, stop daydreaming!"
