The Calips are always dressed in black hooded cloaks which obscures their whole body. The only thing that can be seen, are their greenish humanlike hands and their piercing red eyes which can be seen from inside the hood. A Calip never talks or utter a sound, they communicate with each other with the help of a telepathic link which are impossible to interact with, by Psionic or magic means.

COMBAT
Calips always fight like a group and in complete silence, relying on their telepathic link. They will be using well-planned tactics to hold of the lesser foes, while the strongest ( Mages and Priests ) are dispatched. Their great strength gives them +2 in damage in melee. That's why melee weapons are most preferred among the Calips, they prefer using their magic for ranged combat.
 
The following weapons are mostly used, with 20% each.
 
Long Sword & Short Sword (with no penalties)
Long Sword (a 15% chance to be magical +1)
Bastard Sword  mostly in two hands)

The Calips will normally stand and fight, no matter what happens. Only when 50% or more of them are destroyed, they start thinking of retreat. Calips are able to use the following magespells at 5th level ability : Sleep, Blur, Magic Missile. Some of them (15 %) chance are also able to use the following Priest spells at 5th level ability : Charm Person or Mammal, Entangle. All spells can be used once a day.

HABITAT/SOCIETY
Nobody exactly knows what a Calip looks like beneath the hood because a Calip vanish in thin air when slain, only leaving its cloak and equipment behind.
It is rumored that the Calips comes from an ancient and forgotten city, which was destroyed long time ago by an unknown force. Rumors also tell that the Calips where magically created beings, constructed by the inhabitants of that city, and they gained their freedom with the fall of the city. Other rumors say that they had something to do with its fall. This hatred could help to explain why they always choose to concentrate their attacks on spellusers, often letting some of their numbers keeping other enemies away, while the strongest go for the mages/priests.

ECOLOGY
A Calip seems to be immortal, and it could possible live forever if not destroyed by force. But the Calips are unable to reproduce, and two different sexes has never been reported. That means the Calip population is slowly dwindling, but since they are spread out all over the world, nobody knows how many they actually are, and the Calips don't tell.
