A Jabba looks like a gigantic worm. It has a big round body with a small head upon. The body narrows to a tail in the other end. The female specie also has feet which makes it faster than the male who can only slither when he has to move his body. The male usually looks very disgusting as a whole and he smells very bad. He actually looks like a big orange colored maggot ! The females tend to be a little cleaner and has a little darker skin, and where the males only have two small and almost useless foreclaws, the female's claws are large and effective.
COMBAT
When a battle occurs,
the female can only rely on her claws which does 1d8 in damage each for
defense. The male's small claws can only deliver 1 point of damage each,
but he can also unlash his 10 feet long tonguem, a tongue which he can
stretch out, and with a succesfull hit, catch an opponent and squeeze for
4d4 points of damage. The grab can be held, causing damage every round
until the tongue is severed ( 10 points of damage ) or the Jabba dies,
but there is a 50 % chance, that both the victims arms are pinned to its
sides. When a male Jabba feels threatened, he will use his stinking breath
as a weapon, causing 10d4 points in damage to everyone less than 35 feet
away, saving throw for half damage applies. Of course he cannot use his
tongue while doing so, but he can use the breath once each turn ( unfortunatly
he sometimes releases small portions of his breath weapon when laughing
but this has only half strength ).
HABITAT/SOCIETY
The female and male Jabbas
tend to live apart, the male in solitary, and the females in small groups
of 3-12 individuals which travel the grasslands trying to survive.
When a female Jabba's
comes to a special time in her life, she travels to a place ruled by a
male Jabba, and after ended breeding, she goes back to her normal life,
carrying the child within her. The female then gives birth to a single
child about 6 months later. If the child is a female, she is taken into
her mothers group and travels with it, but if it is a male child, the mother
finds a good place where she puts the baby and then leaves him. The male
child then has to grow fat on whatever resources he can find, until the
time when he has become so big ( this usually takes between 8-9 years )
that he can leave that area and start his dominating.
ECOLOGY
Jabbas are mostly found
as the brain behind larger schemes which mostly are for the better of the
Jabba's stomach and neverending appetite. They try to assume leadership
of groups of other creatures, mostly humanoids with low intelligence since
they can asume a position of god-hood among these, but sometimes a Jabba
is known to rule humans too! The Jabbas produce nothing for the better
of the world, but the females can, after a long a tiresom training, be
used as guard creatures for desolated lairs or treasure-chambers.
