The Crystal Necklace

By Jacquelyn Martin

Dated: June 24, 1999.

Chapter One

One hot June afternoon, as people climbs into the bus 24 Express that heads Downtown. People moaned, grumbled at each other as the bus itself becoming more and more crowed. A 20-year-old, young woman name Jacquelyn is sitting on the bus seat, holding onto her backpack.

‘Holy Hanna! How crammed this bus can get?’ she thought.

When her stop arrives in Downtown, she struggled her way to the bus door so she can get off.

"Whew!, thank goodness, I’m outta of there, I hate crammed buses, especially on a day like this!!" she muttered. She walked across the street to the next street to find a store that she looking for, "Mystic Crystal" store. She approached to the door, opened it and she jumped a bit because of the little bell ringing loudly. She looks up, sees the bell, and frowned.

"Sheesh", she said under her breath.

"Hello!!, welcome missy, how may I help you?, the store owner said.

"Hi, um, I’m wondering, do you sell Crystal balls? " she asked hopefully that he has a couple.

"Well! What do you think this store is called? Of course missy, we do have crystal balls. Ah!, I have one in mind, it is a very special crystal ball, it comes with a book, it will satisfy you." He said, lending her the way to the counter.

She followed him and sees him pulls out a beautiful black box, placed on the glass counter, went down to get the book that goes with it. Pulls it out, her eyes widened, it was beautifully engraved of a castle that was imprinted on the cover of the book. The book itself is some kind of a fairy tale book; it is neither too big nor small, just right. There was no title on the cover.

"Oh my goodness!, I couldn’t possible afford this beautiful set" she gasped in amazement.

"Oh Pish posh, you surely can afford it, these only cost about $15 dollars, cheaper than your shoes you’re wearing" as he looks at my feet. She looks down and back up again to the set. She exclaimed.

"I’ll take it!"

"Alrightly then, okay, um, say missy, what is your name?" he asked her as he puts down the cost amount in the cashier machine.

"Jacquelyn" she said.

"Jacquelyn? Wow that is a pretty name!" he said "I’m Mikey, nice to meet you, Jacquelyn!" he smiled happily.

"Nice to meet you too. Mikey" Jacquelyn said.

"Okay, Jacquelyn, there is something I have to let you know about this, you must take great care of this because it is very special." He said to her.

"Okay, I will take great care of it." She smiled at him to let him know that she will definitely will take care of it, but wonders why he said that with great concern in his voice and his expression almost deeply troubles her.

"Good Luck out there Jacquelyn!" he calls out when she went out the door holding onto the bag that Mikey put the set in.

"Ouch, he really means it, I better put it in my bag just in case if some jerk has the nerve to take it from me." She muttered, looked around to make sure nothing is out of ordinary. She put the backpack on the bench, opened it up and slid the bag into the backpack. She walked back to the main street where she goes to her bus stop. The bus arrived on the perfect time.

"Perfect timing!" Jacquelyn said joyfully. But her mood changed when she saw the bus.

"Oh Damn, not that one!" she groaned. As the bus arrived, it was the same one she just gotten off it.

"I can’t believe it!, that dumb bus is still crowned!" she muttered angrily.

She forced her way onto the bus, still carrying her backpack on her back.

30 minutes later, her home stop arrived; she thanked God for arriving so quickly than she arrived downtown. She got off, realized the temperature as gone up, it became hotter than it was when she left home to go downtown.

"Holy Hanna!, did it just get hotter than it was 2 hours ago?!? Sheesh, can’t wait to get inside into that nice air conditioned house." She thought as she walked home faster than she usually does before. Took her 3 minutes to arrive home from the bus stop that she just gotten off. Her house key enter the lock, heard a click of the lock itself getting unlocked.

"Oow! Damn that glass door." She said out loud that her next door neighbor heard her, but he was chuckling because he knows how that feels because his front door was too face to face with the sun.

She went inside, and sighed with relief

"Oh man, it feels good in here!" she exclaimed. She closed the big wooded door that keeps the heat out from getting inside. Went upstairs, put the backpack carefully on the bed, unzipped it, pulled out the bag that contained the set of the book and the crystal ball.

She put the black box on her lap, to take a peek inside. She opened it; her eyes were just about to pop out of her sockets of what she saw inside.

"Oh my God!, the crystal is huge!" she gasped when she saw another object, "Wha…" She pick the object up, it was a beautiful necklace with the silver chain, the object has a claw which it was grasped onto the smaller crystal.

"Holy Hanna, this is gorgeous". She breathed of amazement. She walked to her mirror on the wall. Takes of her glasses, slips the necklace on, puts her glasses back on. She saw something that spooked her, the crystal glowed a light blue shade, and then it went back to its original color, clear.

"What the heck was that!" she said when she saw the glow. Then she felt something at the back of her neck, she grabs it but it was just the chain. But what she doesn’t know that the chain itself has shrunken. She took off her glasses, tried to take the necklace off; she freaked out when she couldn’t take it off.

"What the hell!!, Oh God, Oh no, please it can’t get stuck on me!" She screamed as she was freaking out, trying to take it off, but she couldn’t. Then she heard a smoothly voice. The voice seems to be telling her "Stay Calm, Jacquelyn, the chosen ………." But she missed the last part because it was in a whisper voice. She couldn’t hear the whisper very well because she was born deaf, but she now wears the hearing aids that helps her to hear much better. She communicates two languages, she speaks English, and signs ASL (American Sign Language). Her Deafness doesn’t bother her, she is used to it, in fact she believes that she just like everyone else, she is no different than a hearing person.

She sighed when she heard the voice, but muttered,

"What the last part? I missed it." She said, hopefully it would come back again.

The voice didn’t come back, the crystal on the necklace no longer glowed the beautiful blue shade anymore. She sighed

"Damn".

She went to pick up the crystal ball from the box and looked carefully at it with both of her hands.

"Wow", she whispered in amazement. Then she saw something out of ordinary, a face she never saw before. A face with with a marvelous bone structure, long blonde hair, and mix-matched eyes that one is blue and the other is green. She gasped.

"Whoa, where did he come from?". As she looked around her room but there was no one around, she is alone by herself in the house. She was confused, wondering where did that face in the crystal come from, one of her eyebrow raised up when she hear a sound. It was the door.

"Jacquelyn!, I’m home!!" a woman’s voice echoed through the house. Jacquelyn sighed.

"I’m in my room, Mom!" she called back to her mother, very relieved that it is her mom. "Whew, thank goodness, I thought that was someone else. Man, I gotta chill out for cryin’ out loud, I’m too damn jumpy, sheesh." She muttered to herself. She put the crystal back in the box, slid it back in the bag that she just took it out. The nameless book was also put back. She looked into the mirror and thought, one more time, ‘I’m gonna try to take this off ‘cause I hate it when Dad asks me where did I get it from’ she thought to herself. She tried again, no luck, it is stuck on her. She thought, ‘hmm, maybe I ought try to cut the chain and take it to the jewelry store to make the chain better and ADD that clasp on the chain" she thought. She went downstairs to the kitchen, took a pair of scissors, tried to cut it off but it won’t cut, by time she tried so many times, no luck. She went to the mirror to check it out, she was shocked. There wasn’t a scratch on the chain. It stayed perfect.

"Oh boy, how am I gonna take this off, it won’t cut, it won’t slide off." Her eyes were filled of fear, completely terrified of what her parents would say. So she decided not to tell them, she’ll tell them a little fib which it doesn’t hurt. Beside no one would find out. The only person knows is that store owner, Mikey.

Chapter Two

7 months later, as she is still wearing the necklace, she was too busy to even notice the necklace but she knows that she is wearing a necklace. Later in the day, Jacquelyn’s friend, Nikki called to see if she wanted to join them to go the bar "Silverados" for a while. Jacquelyn thought it is a good idea to get out for a bit. So, she went there, she and her friends were dancing then the song ended and the next one started, but the one that started, wasn’t a good one. They all went back to their tables to chat and drink.

"Ohmygod, Ohmygod!" one of Jacquelyn’s friends started to freak. Jacquelyn looked at her with her right eyebrow shifted upwards. She looked at Nikki and the person next to her.

"What?, what? What is it?" Jacquelyn asked worried. The girl across from her pointed something at her neck.

"Your necklace!, it is absolutely gorgeous!!! Where did you get it from?" she said.

Nikki looked at her necklace, her eyes were too widened.

"Holy Crow!" Nikki exclaimed. Jacquelyn’s face paled when she realized they are talking about the one that won’t come off at all. She quickly thought of something to say.

"Oh, oh my necklace? Oh I don’t know where it came from." Her friends looked at her confused, "… my cousin Les, gave it to me a while ago." She fibbed.

"Did she say where?" Chrissy asked (the girl seated across from Jacquelyn).

"I wish she did tell me where but she refused to tell me." Jacquelyn said feeling guilty telling them a lie. She didn’t want them to think that she’s weird or something.

"I’ll be back in a sec." Jacquelyn told Nikki. She went up the stairs to the bathroom. She almost bumped into a man with long blond hair and mix-match eyes. She stops dead in her tracks.

"Waitaminute!" She muttered, she looked back but he wasn’t there anymore.

"HUH?, where did he go?" She was surprised to see that he just disappeared.

‘People don’t disappear for cryin’ out loud, it is just your bloody imagination!, but then why I keep seeing that same guy for the last 7 bloody months!" she thought as she keeps on walking towards the bathroom.

She looks at the mirror, trying to think why and when and how did she keep seeing him so many times, then she realized when looking down to her necklace. She remembers the crystal ball in the black box. Her eyes widened.

‘Holy Hanna, is that where it all started, that crystal ball I bought along with book and the necklace?!?’. Thinking to herself, then she decided. ‘Nah, that ain’t possible, I must be seeing things and I must be going crazy, sheesh.’

She went back downstairs to meet up with her friends, a soft, slow song started to play, by the time she arrived to the table, none of her friends were there, then she started to notice the song sounds familiar, she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. She tried to figure it out then she heard the familiar words of the song, "…..sad love, deep in your eyes, a kind of pale jewel, opened and closed within your eyes, I’ll place the sky in your eyes….." she gasps

"My favorite song!!" she exclaimed. She walked to the dance floor, saw all of her friends dancing with their boyfriends, except for Jacquelyn, she is the only one in the group who is single. She pouted.

"Damn, it is not fair!" she said. Then a voice behind her so clearly said.

"You say that so often, I wonder what your basis for comparison is." She turned around quickly as she could but no one was there.

She was confused,

"Who said that?" No reply from that voice she heard.

‘I must be going crazy!, I can’t spill that out to my friends ‘cause it is the first thing that will come across their minds, "You’re going crazy!", so I ain’t gonna say a thing about this thing, whatever it is’ she thought as she turn around to see her friends still dancing, then she spotted someone behind Nikki and her boyfriend Stephen, there he was, standing there, watching her, the mysterious man with long blond hair and mix-match eyes.

She looked at him for one second then her friends started to swirl around the floor, he disappeared within a blink of an eye.

She blinked again, he’s not there anymore. She said to herself in her thoughts.

‘What on Earth?, how did he do that?’

" I need a drink, big-time!" she muttered to herself. She went over to the bar to buy a drink.

"Long Island, please." The bardnter went to make her drink.

"2.50", he said. She gave him the money, took her drink and went back to her table. She noticed a piece of paper laying on the table with her name on it.

‘I wonder who is it from?’ She thought. She put the drink on the table and pick up the note. It said.

"I am the only one who can do it and I am not really what you think I am, the only answer lies in the castle you soon will know."

‘Huh?, What is that supposed to mean’ she has a puzzled look on her face.

Somewhere on second floor of the bar, a man with long blond hair looks at her, a small smile came across his face, he knows she will figure it out soon.

"I wish I could come up to her but not now, not yet but soon." The mystery man said.

He disappears in the shadows, some people was startled to see him vanished like that.

They ran out the building so freaked out, nobody knows what is with them.

Nikki came up to Jacquelyn, and said

"Boy, I wonder what is up with those people that just ran out of here, what spooked them?"

"I don’t know really, I have been sitting here for the whole time drink my Long Island, getting bored of being single. I was just enjoying myself watching you two dancing." Being sarcastic but Nikki never noticed.

Chapter Three

The tall, slim, long blond hair appeared out of nowhere, coming back from the bar that he was just in. Walking to the window, looking outside of the vast land of magic and mystery. He frowned at the little people down below whom are scattered around everywhere, acting like idiots.

"Jeez, those idiots." He looked back to the land far beyond from the city.

"Pretty soon, she’ll come. She will be mine, no matter what, no one is going to stop me, no one!" he said.

Suddenly the large doors swing wide open, the little people came scattering about. One ugly, deformed little guy came up to him stuttering,

"Y-y-your Hi-high-highness!" he stuttered.

"What?" he responded.

"Your Majesty, th-th-th…." He was interrupted.

"Spit it out, Croak!!" He bellowed.

"Yes, sir!, um, there is a problem, sir um, it is the fox, he is demandin’ to fight ya, sir." He said quickly as the king told him to.

The king scoffed,

"Croak, take Kurl with you and throw that fox in the dungeon for all I care, I have other business to attend to, I do not have time for this!" The king started to get annoyed.

Croak and Kurl dragged the fox to the dungeon but the fox kept on yelling.

"Jareth! Jareth, you fiend, I demand thee to come and fight the noble knight of myself. I shall fight you to death!" he cried as being dragged away.

Jareth the Goblin King sighed with frustration.

"Why me, Why the Underground I must have to deal with that critter, I need to be alone so I can make plans for Jacquelyn." As he walks away to his room. Plopped on his bed, pulled out a crystal to see her.

As Jacquelyn seating at back seat of her friend, Stephen’s car, pulling away from the parking a lot to head home from Silverados. Jacquelyn sighed as she looks outside of the car window, trying to see the stars but they were barely visible because of the city lights glaring, blocking every chance a star can peek onto the land of Earth.

They arrived to her place to drop her off, as Jacquelyn was just about to get out of the car. Nikki calls out.

"Jack, are you sure you’ll be fine.?" She asked

"Yeah, I’ll be alright, don’t worry about it. Besides I have to pack, I’m leaving for England tomorrow night. I’ll call you when I get there okay." She said, easing up her friend’s worries.

She walked to her front door, unlocking it, went inside. She sighed

"Well, it is only one night, beside I have been there before. Heck mom and dad will be home tomorrow before I leave. God, I can’t wait to get out of Canada for once, huh, you better look out England, ‘cause I’m coming!" She laughed all the way to her bedroom to change into her pajamas and went to sleep.

She woke up with a start, gasping for air.

"Jeez, it is only a nightmare," She said as she looked at her vibrating alarm clock that show the time in big bright green numbers.

"4 am!!!, I hate waking up on that time for cryin’ out loud!" she yelled angrily.

She tried to go back to sleep but she remembers a lot of her nightmare that she just had.

"Shit, now I can’t sleep," She muttered. Jumped out of bed to go downstairs to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Then she started to think, she said.

"Oh hell, that nightmare keeps coming back, that same guy I keep seeing, why, why me, why do I have to suffer like this, being tortured by the same dream. It all started when I first put that necklace on!" She yelled but there was no one there.

Watching her from the crystal as he holds, threw it in the air and it popped like a bubble. Jareth sighed.

"You will soon find out, when you arrive to London, that is where you will always keep seeing me more and more than before, my dear Jacquelyn." He said, smiling wickedly.

"Croak!!!" Jareth shouted from his room. The goblin came running and all of the sudden he stumbled and landed on Jareth’s feet. Jareth rolled his eyes.

"You fool, get up!" he said annoyed.

"Yes, your majesty?" Croak said.

"I want you to do something for me. Take this crystal to Jacquelyn, but stay quiet because she is sleeping, she cannot know that you were there and she cannot see you there, so be careful and I’m warning you, if you trip one more time like that in her bedroom, and happens to awake her from her sleep. I swear to you, I’ll throw you in the Bog of Eternal Stench, got it?" he said to make sure that Croak understood.

"Y-y-yes, yo-your Ma-majesty", Croak stutters in fear.

"Well then, GO!!" he yelled as he gave the crystal to Croak.

Chapter Four

Toss, turn, toss, turn, Jacquelyn groans

"Oh God, why the hell I can’t sleep, it is bloody 5 am in the morning, I need my sleep before I suffer the 13 hour plane ride. She closed her eyes, and started to doze off. Croak entered her room but he stumbled on her pair of jeans that was lying on the floor, and the crystal he was holding flew out of his hand and landed on Jacquelyn’s head. She woke up screaming. Croak disappeared before she sees him.

"Ouch!!!!, What the hell hit me." Jacquelyn groaned while rubbing her head and turned on the lamp next to her bed. She got up to her mirror but she slips on the crystal that bounced off her head, fell backwards, found herself lying on the floor and started to grumble.

"Ooohhh, I’ve had it!! I’m so sick and tired of this, this thing whatever it is, is driving me crazy!!!" She shouted in frustration. She sat up, and look for that object that she slipped on, she gasped when she saw the object, she went to pick it up. She got up to the box that she put in her suitcase and looked in the box. She was totally confused.

"What the heck, where did this one come from?, I only bought one but I don’t remember getting a second one?? Hell I didn’t even get a second one." She said questionably.

"Oh well, who cares, two crystals is good" Jacquelyn said as she put the second crystal in the box with the original one. Placed the box back in her suitcase.

She went to the bathroom across the hall from her bedroom. Turned on the light, and looked in the mirror, to her amazement, there wasn’t even a bump on her forehead.

"Huh, I guess I got lucky this time, who knows what could happen next, and I rather not know what’s next." She muttered as she left the bathroom and went back to her bedroom. Slipped into bed, turned off the light and tried to go to sleep. Her dreams came back, but it different dream.

"Oh Croak, you got lucky this time!" Jareth yelled which that made the other goblins quiet down and stared at Croak.

"All of you blubbering idiots, get out and leave me be!!" Jareth screamed as the goblins scrambled to get out before Jareth does something cruel to them.

Jareth walked to his room to get some peace and quiet from those idiotic goblins of his.

"Oh, god, I can’t wait for the time to come and we will be finally to be together forever." He said as he started to doze off to sleep. He started to dream about her.

(Jareth’s Dream)

As the music filled the air, inside the glamour ballroom full of people dancing with their face masks. He walked around, looking for someone special. Then he sees her on the other side of the dance floor, she is dressing in a silky, satin, v-neckline white/beige dress, her hair decorated in white and pink small flowers, she is wearing a mask of a dove. They looked at each other with emotion and passion in their eyes as they started to walk towards each other. A new song begins, they danced the night away.

"I used to hate it when night came around. So silent, so lonely, so dark. Now I can’t wait for the sun to go down. So I can hold you in my arms.

You make the moonlight, you make every star shine bright. Without you around, they’d all go out. You are the only love in my life. Only you make the moonlight so right.

There’s a fire that burns in your eyes. And chases the shadows away. Now and forever when I face the night, I’ll never look at it the same.

You make the moonlight, you make every star shine bright. Without you around, they’d all go out. You are the only love in my life. Only you make the moonlight so right.

You are the only love in my life. Only you make the moonlight so right."

(Music from the band "4 Runner" song titled ‘You make the Moonlight’)

The man in the owl mask (Jareth) takes her dove mask off gently, stroked her soft silky cheek. He took his mask off, his long blond hair flows down, his mix-matched eyes sparkled. He smiles and said.

"It won’t be long now, my love…."

Jacquelyn woke up with a start, her alarm went off, scared her half to death. She slams her hand upon her alarm to shut it off.

"Damnit! That same guy who invades in my head for the past 7 months!! Argh!!" She shouted. Then she thought for a moment,

"But the dream is different than the ones I had for a long time, what is the heck is going on, and what is that supposed to mean, "It won’t be long now, my love…." He appears to know me, but I don’t know him, he is giving me the creeps." She sighed as she plopped back to her pillow and muttered.

"I don’t believe it, the day is already here!! Oh bother, I’m dreading the moment when the 13 hour flight overseas is coming in uh…" she looked over to her clock and counted the time.

"… ugh, in 6 hours." She sighed as she got up from her bed to go to the bathroom to take a shower. Completely unaware that Jareth is watching her as she steps in the shower, accepting the warmth of the hot water spraying down her nice figured, and curved body. The water flows down from her hair to her feet, feeling the pleasure of the water trickling down, she shampooed her hair and rises her hair to let the soapy foam of shampoo creeping down her body to the drain of the tub. Conditioned her hair to give a nice soft silky feeling on her natural curls. Picked up her body wash and the sponge, gave a rather nice lather sweeping and washing off the dirt she had on the day before. Rise the soapy lather off her body with the hot water. She stayed in the shower for another 10 minutes, never wanted to leave the nice hot shower giving her pleasure to salvage. Still watching her through the crystal, fighting the urge to be there and caress her body gently and making love to her but he popped the bubble that used to be a crystal he was holding. Got up from his bed, sighing of annoyance, he is growing impatience. Jareth is dying to hold her in his arms, stroking and kissing her. His fantasies are starting to drive him crazy by just thinking of her.

"Oh God!!, I can’t stand it, I have to have her now, I can’t bear to wait a minute longer but I have to let her know that I’m falling……" he was interrupted by one of the goblins bursting in his bedchamber. The Goblin gasped when he realized that he walked in without knocking and discovered that he is starked naked.

"Uh-oh, um, sorry, your majesty." He stammered when he turned away to avoid looking at him further. Jareth’s faced turned beet red. Using his magic to make himself fully clothed. He came up to the goblin with his back turned, grabbed him by the collar and screamed in his ear.

"Do that one more time, I’ll swear I’ll send you to the oubliette!!!" Jareth screamed as the goblin squeezed his eyes completed shut, terrified that he is gonna sent him there now. Jareth lets him go and he falls hard on the stone floor with a loud thud. He grunts and got up to his feet.

"Now, what the Underground Hell you want!!" he was steaming from his ears, that you can actually see the smoke coming out.

"Um, y’see, um, the fox escaped." He squeezed his eyes shut again, not wanted to know what he'll do next.

Jareth starts to growl.

"Well, if he escaped, then why the hell are you still standing there!, Go find that blasted fox and throw him in the dungeon." He growled. He kicked the goblin in the butt to give a head start.

Jareth walked to his throne room, when he entered the room. The goblins stopped dead in their tracks, seeing their King is really peeved. They scrambled out of the room except for Croak and Kurl, they are arguing over something.

"what is tha’ ‘upposed to mean!" Croak shouted at him.

"Y’know wha I mean, ya ‘reak!" Kurl shouted back.

Jareth looked at them with one eyebrow shifted upwards. Curiously about what they are arguing about.

"Y’ clumpsie, ya can’t do ‘thing wight." Kurl scowled. "Kin’ Jareth ain’t two happie about ya waking up that girlie by thro’ing a b’ooding ball on her head!" he finished his sentence.

Jareth sighed

"Kurl!" he said as Kurl and Croak froze and moving slowly to face him.

Jareth walked to them and bend down to face him.

"Look, that girlie you are referring to is not a girl, she is a woman and besides her name is Jacquelyn. But when she arrives here, you will call her same as you call me. ‘Your Majesty’ because she will be your queen. Got it?" he looked evilly at Kurl. Kurl gulped and said.

"Y-yes, your Majesty, go’ it."

"Good, then now you two, do me a favor. GET OUT!!!!!" Jareth starts to scream loudly that Croak and Kurl’s eyes widened and scrambled out as fast they could but Jareth send a lightening bolt to zap them by a command from his finger. With a wave of his hand, he transforms into an owl, soaring above the vast land of the Labyrinth.

Chapter Five

He entered the Human Realm, soaring above Jacquelyn’s house and perched itself on the fence in her backyard deck. As Jacquelyn finished dressed up and fixed up her hair, she came down to the kitchen and went to the fridge and grabbed two blueberry muffins and a container of low-fat butter. (Jacquelyn is a health nut, she makes sure that she is not eating very fatty foods). Placed them on the counter, went the cupboard to get a plate and then to the drawer to get the knife. Placed them on the counter. Reaching for the blinds to pull the string to open the blinds. She stops dead in her tracks, looking outside of the kitchen window facing the backyard. She gasped when she sees the white/brown owl perched on her fence.

"Holy Hanna, he is gorgeous!" she breathed. Still amazed to see the owl there, but she stares at him and sudden the owl looks at her curiously. Her eyes widened.

"What on Earth?, I have never seen an owl with blue and green eyes before…." Then she muttered something.

"Wait, blue and green eyes, those eyes…." She realized that last night she saw man with long blond hair with mix-matched eyes.

"Ohh, last night at Silverados…" then she remembers something else. She gasped.

"My dream!" She said shocked. Then she starts to moan.

"Ohhhh, why haunt me with those eyes!" she said to the owl which it is staring at her with those sparkling mix-matched eyes. The owl hoots at her, made her jump out of her skin, the owl sounds like he is answering her question. Then he flew away, soaring out east. Still watching from her window, her hand on her chest, feeling the pounding of her heart against her chest.

"Oh man, that spooked me. I thought for sure he was gonna say something." She sighed and went back to make her breakfast. After finishing making it, putted in the microwave to heat it up. She sighed and went to the front door to get the newspaper. A letter drops to the steps, noticing that it fell out while pulling out the paper from the mailbox. She bents down to pick it up, it is addressed to her but there is only her itnials "J.D.M." in a really fancy handwriting. She looks at it dumbfounded.

"Mail? On Saturday??, huh that is one thing we never seen." She muttered.

"BBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP" the microwave squealed loudly that she jumped and realized.

"That bloody microwave is too damn loud!" she muttered as her heart is racing.

"Man, I can’t wait to get out because I can’t stand staying here ‘cause no matter what, everything is making me jumpy." She said as she plopped the paper on the table to get her muffins. Ate the muffins pleasurably as she is reading the paper. After finish reading the paper. She picked up the letter, opened it up. Took out the letter which it is folded neatly. It read.

‘My darling,

Do not be afraid of me, I deeply apologize for making you nervous, I am only simply looking out for you. Remember the second crystal, the one that you found. It is a different type than the one you have, the one you have holds much more than I have left for you. Pretty soon, you will know me. It won’t be long now, my love.’

Sincerely,

J.

Jacquelyn blinked at the letter, tears started to come out of her eyes. She went to her room, her knees buckling, sat down on the floor next to her suitcase. Her hands trembling, as she reaches for the box that she put the second crystal. She tried to speak but she is having a hard time trying to say the words.

"H-h-h-he w-w-wa-was in m-my r-room?" she stuttered as she picked the second crystal with both hands, terrified of dropping it. Both of her hands are shakily pretty badly, her breathing is rapidly. Finally she burst into tears. Then she started to scream.

"What do you want from me? Why are you doing this to me? Why?" She broke down sobbing. The crystal in her hands glowed a light blue shade, sends out a smoothly soft, sweet sound, calming her, her sobs slowed then stopped. She blinked at the crystal as the glow starts to fade slowly. She sighed

"Oh man, I can’t believe this is happening to me." She whispered softly. Placed the crystal back into the box along the with the original one. She picks up the original, and looked at it closely, then she sees a picture of the castle, a vast land around the castle. She remembers the picture.

"The book, the book has that same structure of the castle and the land around it."

She puts the crystal down and picks up the book and opened it. There’s a title on it.

It says "The Labyrinth". She gasps.

"That wasn’t there before, the last time I checked, it wasn’t there!…." she remembers something that there is a movie called "Labyrinth" with David Bowie who plays Jareth the Goblin King. She muttered.

"Oh no way, no, no, no way. That movie can’t be true, impossible, it is only a movie for god’s sake. No way." She muttered as she placed the book back into her suitcase. Ran downstairs to her basement, near the TV. She checked the pile of movies in the cupboards of the TV system set. She took the movie out of the pile, putted into the VCR, while fast forwarding the commercials, stopped at the beginning of the movie. The white/brown owl flapping around while the music started.

"It’s only forever,

Not long at all….." She froze when she looked at the computer made owl.

"Oh, it is the same owl I saw in my backyard…" she paused as she sees the eyes of the owl, it is pretty much the same color as the one she saw. "…. Oh jeez, it is almost the exactly the same." She continues watching the movie. Then she saw David Bowie appeared with long blond hair and mix-matched eyes. She started to freak.

"Oh my God!! Oh God, it can’t be. It is almost the same face I saw last night and in my dream!" She got up from her seat yelling. She ran upstairs to her room and grabs the book and ran downstairs while the movie is still running. She opens the books but it starts out differently. It starts…" One hot June afternoon, as people climbs into the bus 24 Express that heads Downtown. People moaned, grumbled at each other as the bus itself becoming more and more crowned. A 20-year-old, young woman name Jacquelyn is sitting on the bus seat, holding onto her backpack……" She stops reading. Remembering the memory that she had about 7 months ago when she brought the set. She looks at the book fearfully, holding her breath and started to flip through the pages. She let out the remaining air that she was holding. She close the book and decided.

"I’ll wait until I get on the plane, I will read this on the plane so the flight will seem a whole lot shorter than I would expect to be." She sighed. She put the book in her backpack along with her other things that she would like to take with her on the plane during the 13 hour flight. She sighed as she cleaned up the house a tiny bit, make sure nothing is out of place. She removes the movie from the VCR and put it back where it used to be.

Chapter Six

"Hello!!??" a man’s voice boomed through the house, Jacquelyn jumped a bit.

"Honey, we’re home!" he calls again. She muttered about something under her breath.

"I’m up in here in my room!" She yelled to make sure they can hear her. She sighed, still haunted by the thought that a David Bowie look alike is watching her every move.

4 and half hours later, she brought her suitcases down to the car. Went back up again to get her backpack and her plane ticket. She muttered.

"I’m not looking forward to this!" she muttered angrily. Her father heard her.

"What? Why aren’t you looking forward to this." He asks. She looks at him scowling.

"The flight is 13 hours long, what you do think? I can’t stand being in one spot on the plane for 13 hours!" She said through her teeth. Her parents starts to snicker. Her mom said.

"Then why are you doing this if you’re not looking forward to this."

"’Cause, I need to get away for while. I have a feeling that someone is been watching me and my every move. Heck, I still have those annoying dreams. I had two dreams last night except something woke me up. The second one is very different but it had the same guy with blond hair and mix-matched eyes!. Oh yeah, besides, I just saw an owl perched himself on the fence of the deck, guess what, his eyes are mix-matched and it has the same colors!" she said with frustration.

"Hmm, you’re right, you do really need a vacation." Her father said. Her mom looked at him with a worried look in her eyes. She’s afraid for her daughter. Her father gave her mom a look as he was going to say. ‘Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. This trip is worth it, she needs it.’

They all left the house, drove to the airport which it is only a 15 minutes drive. They went inside the Winnipeg International Airport. To her dad’s amazement, the place is very crowned.

"Whoo, look at this place, I can’t believe it’s so busy. I hope your flight is not too full and crowned." Her dad said to her. She looks at him funny.

"Dad, my plane takes me to Toronto, then I transferring to another plane which I’m sure it won’t be that packed." She said to him. He mumbles something but she and her mom couldn’t make it out what he said.

"Flight 181, Air Canada to Toronto, now boarding" the announcer boomed throughout the airport.

"Ah, that’s your flight, so, have fun sweetie, have a good time with Aunt Doris and others." He kisses her forehead while saying goodbye.

"Goodbye honey, have a great time, we’ll see you in three weeks, call us when you get there okay baby." Her mom said tearfully. She was about to cry.

"I’ll call you guys when I get there, and Ma, please don’t cry, I hate it when you do that, if you cry, you’re gonna make me cry too." Jacquelyn said to her mom. She walked away to the doors of the plane. She looks back and waved to her parents, they waved back. She sighed.

"Finally, I can’t wait to get there." She muttered under her breath. She walked into the plane looking for her seat. Sat down, and buckled up. She looked outside of her window, watching the airport people putting luggage into the planes. As people coming in to sit down, still boarding. She’s still looking outside but she’s looking up to the sky. Crystal clear, not even a single cloud in sight. She smiled.

"I bet this is gonna be a smooth flight. No clouds means not very much air turbulence." She said quietly. She hates the turbulence because it makes her nervous, feeling like something is gonna break, like the wings or something. Then something white swooped down and landed on the wing of the plane. She froze.

"Oh hell, he better not be following me." She muttered. The white/brown owl, the same one as the one in her backyard she saw earlier. As the plane engine started, spooked the owl to death. It jumped, flapping it’s wings and he flew away. Jacquelyn tried not to laugh but she thought it’s funny because the owl got spooked from the engine just started to roar.

(Giggles) She covers her mouth but she can’t stop her face from turning red. The woman next to her looks at her like she is weird or something.

2 hours later, the plane landed at the Toronto Airport. She was amazed.

‘This place is huge!!, I could easily get lost in this place.’ She thought.

45 minutes later, she was going on to her other plane that flies to London. Her jaw dropped to the floor, the plane is a 747 jumbo jet.

"Holy Hanna, I have never see a plane this size." She muttered. She enter the plane, asked for help to find her seat. The flight steward willed to help her, showed her seat. She cocked her eyebrow up, confused.

"Wait, is this coach? This looks like first class on Air Canada." She said.

"Yes, it does look like it, yeah miss this is coach, that is your seat. I hope it is alright for you, is it?" the man asked.

"Oh, oh, yes it is alright, I’ve never been on a plane this size before. I was just making sure." Jacquelyn said.

He smiled at her, and turned away. She sat down, placed the backpack next to her feet.

‘Wow, this is really comfy. Boy am I glad that the weather is the same as Winnipeg." She muttered, as she looks out of the window, then she saw something swoop down and perched itself on the wing of the plane. She gasped.

"How the Hell you get here so bloody fast!!" She muttered angrily. That blasted owl followed her all way from Winnipeg. She couldn’t believe her eyes. As everyone settles down. A man with strawberry blond hair sat next to her. She looks at him quickly, didn’t get a good look at his face but he seems familiar to her. She went to look back out of the window. The owl is still there, watching her. As the engines started, this time it is louder than the previous one. The owl got spooked and flew away. She tried so hard not to laugh but her giggles is the best she could. Her face is turning beet red. She took a deep breath and told herself to calm down.

As the owl flew away, flying back to his realm. The owl landed on the stone throne of the Underground. Transformed himself to his true form. He sat down and muttered angrily.

"Those blasted machines spooked the hell out of me." Jareth said as one goblin entered the room and offered him his daily meal.

"Once you get to London, my dear, then I will come up to you and introduce myself to you, then you’ll know soon why am I doing this."

Chapter Seven

In midair, Jacquelyn sighed and remembers the book that she decided to read. She pulled out the book from her bag. But it starts differently. It doesn’t even have the story line that starts as "One hot June afternoon…." She looked at the book and looked up to the chair in front of her and blinked her eyes and looked back into the book. She muttered under her breath.

"That doesn’t make any sense." The strawberry blond hair man next to her heard her said something. He thought she was asking him something.

"Excuse me, did you say something?" he asked her. She looked at him. Her eyes widened when she looked at his eyes.

"Uh.." stammers "… oh no, I was just thinking out loud, that happens once a while. Sorry." Still looking at his eyes.

"Are you okay? Do you know who I am?" he asked her. She blinked.

"Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to stare, I couldn’t help but notice your eyes, they’re mix-matched. I rarely see someone with mix-matched eyes. But you do look like someone I know." She said.

"Oh really, hmm let me guess. David Bowie?" he said, smiling.

"Yeah, how did you guess?" she asked.

"Well, you see, I am David Bowie, I tend to change my looks quite often. Not a lot of people recognized me very much." David said. She gasped.

"Oh my god, you’re David? Wow, I can’t believe you here? I thought you might be sitting in first class?" she said.

"Too expensive, I like it here, it is comfortable." He said.

"Yeah, oh I’m sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Jacquelyn." She said.

"Nice to meet you Jacquelyn." He said

"Nice to meet you too." She said and smiled.

They chatted a bit about family and stuff.

Hours later, the 747 Jumbo jet landed at the London Airport. Jacquelyn only finished half of the book. She thought that perhaps on the way home on the plane to Toronto, she’ll read the rest of it.

"Jacquelyn, I hope you enjoy your stay here in London. You take care, you hear." Her new friend David said.

"You can count on it. I’m gonna have a blast staying here!" Jacquelyn exclaimed. David’s ride came to get him. Jacquelyn’s aunt squealed in delight when she saw her coming down the stairs from the plane.

"Jackie! Over here!" Aunt Doris calls out in crowd, waving her arms wildly. Jacquelyn noticed a person’s arms flapping and waving, and smiled when she saw her aunt. She thought.

‘Thank god, she’s here, I got worried for a bit there. Tsk, Jack, you ought chill out for cryin’ out loud.’

She ran up to Jacquelyn to give her a big smothering bear hug, squeezing every ounce of breath out of her. She gasps

"Auntie, I-I ca-can-can’t br-breathe!" gasping for air.

"Oh, I’m sorry honey, it is just that I haven’t seen you for so long. I’m so happy that you’re here. How was your flight??" She picked up one of Jacquelyn’s suitcases.

"Very interesting, in fact I made a friend who was seating next to me. His name is… well you probably won’t believe me anyhow, his name is David, David Bowie." She said. Her aunt gasps.

"You made friends with David! Oh how wonderful!! You’ll be happy to know that Uncle Ron’s cousin is one of David’s cousins. Small world eh??" she exclaimed. Jacquelyn blinked at her aunt. She stammers.

"Wa-wait a sec. Uncle Ron’s cousin has a cousin who is David Bowie, is that what you’re telling me?" she asked to clarify the statement that her aunt just told her.

"That’s right. You’ll be seeing a lot of David because he’s staying at the same house as we are!" she squealed with delight.

"Oh boy, this sure is gonna be a very interesting vacation. Wait until my family and friends hears about this." She chuckles as they walked to the car. Drove away from the airport.

As they pulled into the longest driveway that Jacquelyn has ever seen in her life.

As they approach to the house. Her jaw dropped to the floor.

"Holy Hanna, this house is huge!" she said in amazement. A slim butler came outside from the front door. Jacquelyn and her aunt came out of the car.

"Welcome, Miss Martin to ‘The Foxgrove’. I am Samson Williams, I will be your butler." He said politely as he picks up both of her suitcases. Jacquelyn is carrying her backpack. They went inside, she is greeted by her Uncle Ron.

"Jacquelyn, my dove! I’m so happy that you have arrived. I hope your flight was pleasant." He said in a very strong British accent. As Jacquelyn’s deafness, she had a hard time to make out parts of the words he just said.

"Hi Uncle Ron." Jacquelyn said. As the man came walking down the stairs, he was talking to his cousin and then when he looks at Jacquelyn, he stops short.

"Jacquelyn?!?!" he exclaimed. He was surprised to see her.

She smiled when she saw him called her name.

"Hi David." She said. Her uncle looked at her, looked at David and then back at her.

"You two met?" David responded to her uncle.

"Yes, we have met on the plane from Toronto, we sat next to each other for 13 hours." He said while looking Jacquelyn as her face turned pink.

"That’s right, for 13 hours." Jacquelyn said blushly.

"Well, How about that, hmm." Uncle Ron said.

"Doris Honeybuns, can you show Jacquelyn her room upstairs?" her uncle said to her aunt.

"Of course, come on Jacquelyn, it this way." Her aunt said as she follows her aunt upstairs. She thought.

‘Oh Yeah, it is definitely gonna be a very interesting trip’. She chuckles to herself.

"Something funny?" Her aunt asks. She looks at her aunt realizing that she laughed out loud.

"Oh, it is nothing really, I was just thinking to myself. No biggie." She said. Her aunt showed her room. She gasped when she saw her room.

Oh my god, this room is bigger than my house!" she exclaimed. Her aunt laughed.

"I know, it is bigger than my house too!, How about that eh?" she said.

"Okay, hon, I let you do whatever you want now so you can have some time to unpack. Okay, Breakfast will start in a couple hours." Her aunt said. Jacquelyn was taken back when her aunt said ‘Breakfast’. Then she realized.

"Oh yeah, it is morning in here, duh. Time in here is different than back home in Winnipeg. How dumb of me." She said to herself. She approached to her bags and started to unpack. Her drawers were huge. She finished unpacking her clothes, and she carried her sanctuaries to the bathroom, she turns the light on in the bathroom. Her jaw dropped, she almost dropped her stuff that she’s carrying.

"Oh my god! This bathroom is the biggest one I have seen. Whoo.." she said when she saw the tub. She walked by the toilet and stopped short in her tracks, she turned to face the toilet, she look at a funny looking type of a toilet next to a normal toilet.

"What the heck is that?" she said looking at the funny looking type of a toilet.

"Eh? I rather not know." She said as she walked towards to the sink. Placed the sanctuaries on the counter. Walked out of the bathroom, turning off the light. A knock rapped at the chamber door of her room.

"Yeah?" she called out.

"It’s me, Auntie." Her aunt calls out.

"Come in!" she called back. Her door opened, her aunt enters her room, a young woman about her age followed in.

"Honey, I would like you to meet Emily, Uncle Ron’s niece, don’t get fooled by her looks, she’s 15. Emily, this is Jacquelyn, my niece from Canada." She said.

"Hi Emily, nice to meet you." Jacquelyn said.

"Hi" Emily said shyly.

"Oh come on now, don’t be shy, she is a nice person, you’ll like her." Her aunt said to Emily. Emily’s face turned pink.

Chapter Eight

They all went downstairs for breakfast. Emily was the first to speak.

"Um, Jacquelyn?" Emily said.

"Yeah?" She responded.

"Um, could you tell me about what is like in Canada, is it beautiful as in here?" Emily asked. Jacquelyn smiled.

"Sure, Canada is a neat place to live. Not crowded as United States of America. There is lots of room, lots of space, lots of land, fields for farmers to grow their crops…." She was interrupted by her aunt.

"And mountains too" her aunt beamed.

"… yeah, mountains too, the weather is pretty much the same as in here. All 4 seasons. I hate Winter ‘cause it is very cold but I love summer the best because it is hot and sunny….." she was interrupted by her aunt again.

"Breakfast time, let’s eat!" Her aunt exclaimed. Jacquelyn went to finished her sentence.

"…Stuff like that." She said.

"I would like to visit your country someday." Emily said smiling.

"Oh you will, You probably like it there but from what I have seen when I got here. England is the most beautiful country I have ever seen." She said.

Emily smiled.

"I’m glad that you like England. Even you just got here!" she giggled.

"Yeah I know crazy huh?" she said. Emily giggles.

Chapter Nine

Later in the day, Jacquelyn, Emily and Auntie Doris went shopping for a bit. Emily told Jacquelyn’s aunt that she and Jacquelyn needs to go shopping for costumes for the party in 4 days. Jacquelyn was surprised that she needs a costume for the party.

"Must we wear costumes?" Jacquelyn looked mortified.

"Yes, we have to because this is not a ordinary party, it is a one time a year party, the party is called "Labyrinth" like the movie that Cousin David was in." Emily explained.

"Really! A Labyrinth Party, Cool! What are you planning to wear?" Jacquelyn asks.

"A Fairy" Emily said. Jacquelyn smiled, and thought of something to wear, a light bulb went off in her head.

"I know, I could go as an owl! A female, white/brown or beige owl!" She exclaimed.

"Oh, that sounds wonderful! We could add some small flowers in our hair!" Emily said joyfully.

"Great idea!!…" she paused "… Um, do we have to wear masks?" Jacquelyn asks

"Yes, we have to." Emily said.

"But I hate wearing masks, it makes my face itch." Emily added.

"Really, I haven’t wore a mask in years, not as I know of. I can’t remember the last time I wore one." Jacquelyn tries to remember.

"Oh well" Jacquelyn said.

The girls found their costumes, masks. They went out to get some makeup, and some small flowers to decorate their hair.

Jacquelyn realized something, she became worried.

"Emily, I have a big problem. This party requires a mask right. So I can’t wear a mask because I have to wear my glasses at all times. My eyesight goes funny if I don’t wear it because everything goes blurry." Jacquelyn said feeling troubled.

"Don’t worry about it, Jacquelyn, we’ll think of something, okay?" Emily said trying to cheer her up.

As the days goes by, the night of the party comes near. Jacquelyn and Emily became fast friends. Jacquelyn completely forgot that there is a man who being watching her all the time. Emily becomes worried because she sees him all time. That night, Emily finally had the guts to tell Jacquelyn about what is troubling her.

"Jacquelyn, can I talk to you about something?" Emily asks

"Sure, what is it?" Jacquelyn said.

"Um, I’m not quiet sure how to put this. Um, ever since you arrived here, I noticed that there’s someone following you and watching you all the time when we went out for the past few days." Emily said. Jacquelyn’s face paled.

"Emily, that’s not funny." Jacquelyn said as she tried to say the words.

"Oh Jacquelyn, I’m really sorry but I couldn’t help it because I have never seen him before you arrived. Was there someone following you back home in Winnipeg?" Emily said in apologizing voice. Jacquelyn sighed.

"Yes, there is a man who has been following me for that past 7 and half months. I see him once or twice every day. Tell me what he looks like, the one you told me about this man who is following me. Please." Jacquelyn said fearfully.

"Um, he’s tall, slim, wears dark clothing, and his hair is long, blond with a funny fuzz on top. His eyes are mix-matched. He carries a black cane with a silver something that holds a glass or crystal ball." Emily explained. Jacquelyn’s face turned whiter. She started to panic.

"Oh God, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, How the hell did he know where I am!" She freaked.

"Oh dear, it is the same man, is not?" Emily said. Jacquelyn nodded and buried her face in her hands. She started to cry a bit.

"I’ll go get Aunt Doris" Emily said as she ran out of the door.

Jareth watches as Emily run out of the door, as Jacquelyn sat down crying.

"Damn, how did she see me. I can’t believe she saw me. That wasn’t supposed to happen, only Jacquelyn can see me, only her, no one else!" Jareth said as he popped the bubble that uses to be a crystal. He got up and walked to his throne room. The goblins surely did made a pigsty mess in the room. They all quieted down and watched their King walked to the throne and plopped himself on the stone throne.

Chapter Ten

The night before the party, Emily and Jacquelyn got all dressed up for the night. As they merge out of their rooms in their costumes. They both looked at each other and said

"Wow…" at the same time. Emily spoke first.

"Jacquelyn, you look gorgeous in that owl outfit". Her costume has a white dress, white 19th century style boots, white gloves and a cape covered with various of cloth and feathers in brown/white/beige colors. Her mask is shaped as an owl. Her hair decorated with white small baby breath flowers. Her brown highlighted curls bounced as she walks down the hall. She smiled at Emily.

"Thanks, so do you." Jacquelyn said as Emily dresses as an Fairy Princess. Her hair dyed in purple/blue/green metallic colors. The costume is a dark purple/green color in a fairy style dress. Blue wings covered with glitter. The mask almost took shape like a butterfly but only slightly different.

They both went down the stairs, their shoes click, clack against the wooded stairwell. A man appeared from the dining room. A long, black and blue metallic cape covered the man figure. Jacquelyn looked at him puzzled. Wondering who is that person. He lowered his cape down to the base of his nose. His funky blond hair peeked and his mix-matched eyes sparkled from the chandelier shining bright above. Emily gasped,

‘Oh-no’ Emily thought.

"Ladies, may I presume. I’m Jareth, the King of Goblins." The man said as he stepped forward, revealing the rest of his clothing. Jacquelyn immediately recognized him.

"Oh, wow, David, you look great!" Jacquelyn exclaimed. Emily sighed with relief.

"Boy, David, you sure got me there for a moment. I thought you were for real. I can’t believe I actually believe that he is the real Jareth. Tsk." Jacquelyn started to laugh as David laughed too.

"Hon, you are such a worrywart, we are all going to have a ball tonight. May I walk you two to the door, if its pleases you ladies?" Jareth (David) said. Jacquelyn smiled and took his hand as Emily took his other hand. They walked out of the door towards to the car. They entered the car, then pulled away as Jacquelyn’s aunt waves them goodbye.

"um, David, um, could I ask you a favor?" Emily said shyly.

"Sure, what is it?" he said.

"um, could you save me a dance later?" She said as her face started to turn pink under her mask. Jacquelyn could see the blushed pink rose from her cheeks. She smiles at Emily for having the guts to ask him.

"Sure, no problem, how could I say no to my little cousin. I’ll dance with you." David said. Emily beamed.

As they arrived, Jacquelyn and Emily climbed out of the car. David stayed inside, telling the driver to go to the back of the building so he can make his grand entrance.

Jacquelyn and Emily walked into the ballroom, it is already filled with people in their costumes. Most of them are dressing up like the dancers from the dream like Sarah has during the song "As the World Falls Down". Emily looked at a group of three girls standing nearby. Her face drained of color.

"Oh no, not again, those Triplet Obsessive Sarahs." She moans. Jacquelyn looked at Emily confused.

"What Triplet Obsessive Sarahs?" Jacquelyn asks. Emily points at them where they were standing. Jacquelyn saw them and she was taken back, she was shocked.

"Holy Hanna!, they look so much alike!" Jacquelyn said flabbergasted.

"Let me tell you something about those three snobs. Every year when this party comes along. They always dresses like that for the past 5 years!" she grumbled.

Jacquelyn’s eyes widened.

"5 years?!?! Wearing those same costumes? What are they thinking, wearing the same white, silverly gowns as Sarah wore in her dream when she danced with Jareth during that song.. um.. "As the World Falls down"?" she said. Emily nodded.

"5 years, tsk." Jacquelyn muttered.

The Triplet Sarahs approached to Emily and started to taunt her.

"Well, well, well, look here. Don’t you ever think that the Goblin King hates fairies?" one of the Sarahs said.

"She is so dumb, why bother, she has no taste." The second Sarah said. Jacquelyn heard them say hurtful things to Emily. She fumed as she walked towards them.

"Well, well, well, look here, don’t you think it is time for three of you start wearing something else. I heard that you three have been dressed the same bloody Sarah outfit for past Five Years?." She said mocking them.

"How pathetic!" Jacquelyn said. The Three Sarahs’s jaws dropped when Jacquelyn told them off.

"Let’s go, Emily, you don’t need to deal with these obsessive brats. We came here to have a great time." She told Emily as she takes her hand and walked away.

"How dare she!" the all said at the same time. Some people heard them say that, they rolled their eyes.

Chapter Eleven

A man enter the ballroom all dressed up in white/beige (like Jareth at the end of the movie trying to offer Sarah her dreams ‘…fear me, love me, just do what I say, I will be your slave’ (something like that)). He walked in slowly, he managed to turn some heads. Some people started to whisper each other ears. He kept on walking until he spotted someone he knows. He stayed behind the shadows.

The crowd goes wild as David comes out on stage all dressed up like Jareth. Emily and Jacquelyn tried so hard to keep their giggles to themselves because David came on stage as Jareth in the movie would, making a sudden entrance.

"Welcome to my Underground, gobs and fairs." (Gobs means Goblins(Men); Fairs means Fairies(Women)).

"Enjoy the ball, we will be playing all night because we are chilly down!!!" David said as the microphone boomed through the speakers. The song ‘Chilly Down’ starts, everyone came on the dance floor. They all started to dance wildly. Jacquelyn and Emily were dancing too. They laughed through out the song as they watched other people dance wildly as in a very funny dance. The man in white/beige owl like costume watched Jacquelyn enjoying the dance along with other people.

"Soon, the next song begins, I’ll be dancing with you, my dove." He said. He walked to bar to get something to drink. He saw a man wearing the similar outfit as he normally wears approach to Emily and Jacquelyn, he joined them to dance.

"How interesting. Someone dressing up like me. Hmm." He said to himself. He saw Jacquelyn whisper something in his twin’s ear. He started to laugh. Jareth becomes curious about what Jacquelyn said to him. The song ends, everyone walked back to their seats to take a breather. 5 minutes later, a new song begins.

The song, "As the World Falls Down." Begins.

The Three Sarahs squealed in delight because this is the part that David (Jareth) supposed to ask a young woman to dance with him. David picked someone that they never expected to be. He picked a girl next to them dressing as a Fairy Princess.

"Go for it, girl." Jacquelyn said to Emily as she is pulled away to the dance floor with David. Emily smiled at Jacquelyn.

Jacquelyn is alone standing, she noticed someone approaching her wearing the similar outfit as hers.

"May I have this dance, M’lady?" Jareth asks. Jacquelyn smiled.

"Yes, you may." She said taking his hand as he walks with her to the dance floor. David and Emily saw them together dancing, their jaws dropped.

"Wow, they sure do make a cute couple." Emily said.

"Yeah, they do ‘cause they are wearing the similar outfits. Must be luck." David said.

The foursome danced the night away.

"M’ Lady, I must introduce myself. My name is Jarod." Jareth said.

"I’m Jacquelyn, nice to meet you, Jarod." She said completely unaware that she is dancing with the man who has been watching, following her for the past 7 and half months.

"It is lovely to meet you, my dear Jacquelyn." He said. When she heard him say ‘my dear Jacquelyn’ she starts to think

‘my dear?, where did I hear that from?’ she thought. Jareth realized that he must not give himself away after he read her mind. He decided that he must distract her from that thought.

"M’ Lady, what do you think of this song, romantic? Is it not?" Jareth said.

Jacquelyn blinked, she immediately came out of her thoughts.

"Yes, it is a romantic song, in fact it is my favorite song. I’ve always liked this song. It is soft and sweet." She said as she closed her eyes. He pulled her close to him, she rested her head on his shoulder.

"David, look at them, can you believe it, just like that?" Emily poked at David to make him look at them.

"Whoa.. they sure does look like they have known each other. I’m surprised that she’s resting her head on that guy shoulder. Say he kinda look familiar." David said.

"He looks like you dummy. Remember! This is the party that everyone can dress up whoever they want. Jacquelyn dressed up like you at the end of the movie when you were trying to woo Sarah." Emily said.

"I was not trying to woo Sarah!" he said pretending to be shocked.

"Oh Sure whatever, David, I can see just perfectly!" She poked him in the ribs to bug him. David chuckled as they continue to dance.

As the time goes by in the night. David went up to the stage.

"M’ Lady, there is something I must do, I’ll shall return to you." Jareth said.

Jacquelyn nodded.

"Okay, See you later, Jarod." She said. Jareth turned to walk away, disappeared into the crowd.

David tapped on the microphone to make sure it is on, but it squealed. People jumped from the feedback.

"Oops, sorry about that. I would like to thank all of you for coming tonight, I hope you had a great time tonight. Thank you very much, Good night." He said.

People started to applause and cheer. Emily and Jacquelyn went to their table to get their things. As they arrived, Jacquelyn’s heart stopped when she sees an big object on her seat with a note taped on it. The note says.

"Jacquelyn" in a engraved handwritten. Her face paled when she recognized the handwriting.

"Oh my god!!, he was here!" she freaked. Emily looked at her.

"What, what do you mean he was here, who was here?" she said confused about her reaction.

"The guy, the one who has been following me all this time!!. He was here!" she cried.

"Okay, Okay, calm down, he is not here anymore okay, calm down, lets see what the note say okay." Emily said to calm Jacquelyn.

Trembling, she picked up the note and opened it up. She read it and her eyes widened.

"Oh my God!!" she screamed. Emily became worried.

"What, what, what did it say?" she said.

"Did you see that guy I was dancing throughout the night?" she said.

"Yeah, what about him?" she ask.

"That’s him, the one who is following me, oh god, I can’t believe I danced with him, I never thought it was gonna be him. He was such a gentleman! I can’t believe it was him!! Oh god, oh god.." her voice trailed off as her knees gave out and she collapsed on the floor crying. Emily gasped, she couldn’t believe what was happening. She tried to calm her down. She picked up the note. It said

"My darling Jacquelyn,

Thank you for the wonderful evening, I really enjoy dancing with you my dear. I must apologize that I couldn’t stay any longer to reveal ourselves by taking off the masks. I’m afraid, you might be shocked. Leaving you this note with the cane. I’m sorry for not telling you the truth about my name, it is not Jarod but it is pretty close. It won’t be long now, my love.

Love Always,

J."

"Whoa……" Emily said couldn’t believe her eyes on what she’s reading. She grasped Jacquelyn’s arms to help her to her seat.

"Come on, have a seat, it is best to not let anybody notice that something is wrong. David should be here soon, then we’ll go home okay?" Emily said calmly. Jacquelyn sighed and wiped her tears away from her flushed cheeks and nodded. Emily went to the front door to find David, finds him waiting in the car. She ran up to him.

"David!, I need you to help me, it is Jacquelyn.!" Emily cried. David became worried.

"What is wrong, did something happened.?" He asked terrified. Emily handed him the note that Jareth left for Jacquelyn.

"This note was left for her, it was taped on the cane, the one I saw from that guy who has been following her for so long." She said. David opened the note, as he read, his eyes were just about to pop out of his eye sockets.

"What on Earth?? That guy we just saw dancing with her, that was him?!?" David panicked. He promised her aunt that he’ll watch out for her, make sure nothing goes wrong. They both went inside, found her sitting on the same chair where Emily left her. She is holding the cane that he left her. Emily came up to her and told her.

"Jacquelyn, come on, let’s go home now okay. He is not here anymore okay. Come." Emily said as she and David helped her up to her feet, still holding on to the cane. They enter the car and they drove away from the party which is now over.

Chapter Twelve.

(This part goes back to the beginning of the party but this is of Jareth’s mind view.)

Back at the castle, Jareth is getting ready for the party that he plans to attend because he would like to take a chance to dance with his lady love. Looking through the crystal, watching her getting dressed in her costume. As she finished dressing up, he saw the complete form of her costume with the mask in place.

"Perfect!, I was just planning to wear the same outfit as yours my dear." He said quietly. He threw the crystal and disappeared at the moment it hit the wall. A goblin came running in all of the sudden. Jareth sighed.

"What now?" he ask.

"Uh, your majesty, there is a problem. There is a man demanding to enter the Underground from the South Gate of the Howling Fields. Jareth’s eyes widened when he heard that.

"From where? South Gate of the Howling Fields!! You go back there and tell him that he is not allowed to enter, remind him that he is forever banished from the Underground!" Jareth bellowed. The Guard Goblin nodded.

"Yes, your majesty!" he said as he scrabbled out of the bedchamber. Jareth fumed.

"Damn, that Vadek has the bloody underground nerve to demand to enter my kingdom. Sorry my brother, I won’t allow you to come barging at time like this!" he said angrily as a flick of his wrist, he changed his clothing into the outfit that he wanted to wear for the party. He went out to his balcony to turn into an owl and soar above the land. He enter the Human world where the party is placed. He transformed into his true form. Walked towards the building where people are going in to the ballroom for the party.

‘This is it. Time is almost here. One night with Jacquelyn is all I need.’ Jareth thought. He walked into the room. Surprised to see many people were dressed pretty much the same as his parties back home.

‘Reminds of home.’ He chuckled to himself. He continued on walking, looking around. All of the sudden, someone startled him by approaching him.

"Oh my God, oh my God, you are so damn fine Jareth. Come on, let’s dance!!" a woman squealed.

Jareth became nervous.

‘How the hell did this woman know my name?’ Jareth thought.

"Excuse me, how did you know my name?" Jareth finally said. The woman laughed.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, you are such a tease! What you think, this party is the Labyrinth Party. You are supposed to be dressing up like the Almighty, all-this-and-that, Mr. Tight-pants-show-off-bulge, King of the Goblins, Mister Jareth." The woman cackled.

Jareth raised his left eyebrow. Feeling embarrassed by this woman who is practically laughing like a wicked witch. Then he spotted a woman, a young woman, entering the room. She is dressing the same outfit as his but hers is more feminine. His heart fluttered.

‘My God, she is so beautiful!’ he thought in amazement. He tried to break free from this cackling woman. He managed to escape from her. Disappeared into the crowds. He crept up to her to get a closer look.

He wanted to come up to her to say ‘hello’ but stopped by a booming voice. Startled, he turned around and see a man dressing up like just like him in the same outfit as he normally wears back at the castle.

"What the heck…. Oh right, how dumb of me. That is what the party is all about." He muttered as he shake his head. He walked towards to edge of the stage. The music started to play, but what Jareth didn’t know that he is standing in front of the big speakers. When the song ‘Chilly Down’ start blasting behind him. He nearly got a heart attack.

‘Holy Underground!" he gasped, holding his chest, catching his breath. He muttered inaudible.

He looked around the dance floor, looking for her. He stopped short, sees her dancing along with someone, a younger girl dressing up like a Fairy Princess. He looks at her all lovey dovey.

"Oh my love, Jacquelyn, you are absolutely breath-taking." He said but inaudible because the music so loud, no one can hear themselves talking. Sudden, someone jumps in front of her and her friend, he started to dance wildly, his fake blond hair nearly fell out of his head. He keeps on grasping the wig to stay on his head. Jacquelyn stopped dancing, and started to laugh so hard that she toppled over with laughter pains in her stomach. The younger one as Fairy did the same thing.

Curiously as Jareth becomes. Wondering what so amusing with that awful wig. As the song ends, he never left his eyes off of her. He watches her walk back to her table along with her friend and the look-alike Jareth character. A new song begins, this time it is softer and sweeter. He sees her whispering something in this look-alike’s ear. Sees him smile, as he got up and whispered something in this Fairy character. She smiled and got up and walked with him to the floor, started to dance.

‘Finally!’ Jareth thought as he walked towards to her. Approached to her and tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and looked at him.

"May I have this dance, M’lady?" Jareth asks. She smiled.

"Yes, you may." She said taking his hand as he walks with her to the dance floor.

"M’ Lady, I must tell you that you look so breath-taking. Believe me, M’ Lady, when I saw you standing there. You took my breath away." He said charmly. Her face turned pink.

"Thank you sir, that’s very sweet of you to say so." She said shyly.

He heard her thoughts as she said something to herself.

‘Damn, he is so damn good-looking. Finally!’ . Jareth smiled.

"M’ Lady, I must introduce myself. My name is Jarod." Jareth said.

"I’m Jacquelyn, nice to meet you, Jarod." She said smiling with pink cheeks.

"It is lovely to meet you, my dear Jacquelyn." He said. When she heard him say ‘my dear Jacquelyn’ she starts to think.

Jareth pulled her closer, trying to make her comfortable. She rested her head on his shoulder. He can smell her hair. He thought.

‘She smells so lovely, her soft hair smells like peach, my favorite.’ He smiled and kept on dancing. They danced the night away.

While they were dancing, Jareth felt something is wrong. Something is wrong in his kingdom. He felt something evil lurking in his Underground. As he feared,

‘Oh, no, Vadek!, he’s in the Labyrinth!' he thought. When someone approached to the stage. He knew that this is his break, a chance to go back to the Underground.

As the Jareth look-alike came up the stage. Jareth said to Jacquelyn.

"M’ Lady, there is something I must do, I’ll shall return to you." Jareth said. She nodded.

"Okay, See you later, Jarod." She said. Jareth turned and walked away, disappearing into the crowds.

"Damnit!" Jareth said fuming as he walked towards to the door but before he left, he left a gift and a note to her, explaining half of the story about what’s going on. He walked out of the door, entered the alleyway, with a flick of his wrist, he vanished into thin air.

Flying back to his kingdom, he saw something so horrible, so black and evil. It is creeping all cross the land, sickly every plant, tree, just about everything.

Chapter thirteen

Jareth’s face paled when he discovered that Vadek had somehow managed to get in his Labyrinth, killing off everything that was there. Life and pure magic are been choked by evil and darkness.

"Vadek, you son of a bitch!" he hissed as he appeared in this castle, storming through to his throne room.

"You will pay for this!!" Jareth screamed as he sees his dark brother sitting on the throne.

"Temper, temper, temper my dear brother. We are not simply matched but I’ll have just been touching everything up to look better. Doesn’t it look dreading to you? I rather like the way it looks now. Hmm?"

Jareth became more angry.

"Look Vadek, think! This is my kingdom, not yours, not anybody else’s, don’t you remember what Jillianna said. She chose you to live up in that kingdom of darkness and banished you from this one for all eternity because you are destroying this kingdom of your evilness. We don’t work together well. Hell break loose if our magic combined, AND I do not want you here ever again!" Jareth said talking through his teeth.

"What did I tell you about your temper? Besides I’m not going to combined my magic with you. I’m just simply going to destroy your magic! (evil cackle)" Vadek said.

Jareth shunned by the sound of his laughter. Vadek added,

"Oh by the way, your sweet dear love too!! I will not let Jillianna take away what is mine! That crystal she holds, its Jillianna’s magic. I’ll be taking that magic and combine it with mine!" (evil cackle). Vadek vanished.

Jareth gasped when he mentioned Jacquelyn, he is going to kill her.

"I have to stop him before he hurts her." He said fearfully. With a wave of his hand, a liquid mirror vortex appeared, he steps through.

Back at the ‘Foxgrove’ place. Jacquelyn is laying on her bed staring at the cane that she brought with her from the party. A large bird flapped and perched itself on the railing of her balcony. She looked at the bird, noticing it is an owl. She slowly gets out of bed. Walking slowly to the doors, placed her hands on the knobs. Taking a deep breath, turned the knobs around and pulled the doors open wide. The curtains on the doors flew and flapped, making impossible for her to see what’s there, as the wind died down bit. She gasped as she stares into the eyes of Jareth, who somehow magically transform himself from an owl within seconds.

He sees her, her faced streaked with her tears. She has been crying not long ago because she knows now.

"YOU!" she gasped.

"Yes, my love, it’s me, Jareth. I’ve come to protect you." Jareth said as he walked into her room. She stepped back a little bit. She’s scared and confused.

"Protect me? Protect me from what? My craziness?" She blurted.

"No, protect you from my brother, I’m afraid the time has come. I need you so much, my kingdom needs you so much because we’re dying. Dying from his evil grasp. I need you to save us from him. Only you can do that. Jareth said, looking at her with sorrow and pain in his eyes.

She is silent for a few minutes.

"Save you and your kingdom? How?" Jacquelyn asked really confused.

Jareth came up to her closer. She tried to move backwards but her legs just won’t listen. He placed his hand on her necklace that she’s wearing. The crystal glowed a beautiful blue/green shade, glowing so bright that she can actually feel the warmth.

"Your necklace holds something far more powerful than my brother’s evilness. You are wearing the most precious jewel, a jewel that holds the most powerful magic ever. This Jillianna’s magic, before she died, she cast all of her powers in the crystal. Only me and Vadek can touch the crystal to make it active. If Vadek gets hold of the magic, everything will be destroyed, Everything. I can not allow that to happen. You see my dear, that is why I have been watching, following you everywhere you go. Making sure no harm come to you. I hope you understand. Do you?" Jareth said, still holding the crystal.

Jacquelyn’s eyes started to well up with tears. She is still looking down at the crystal. Jareth removed his hand from the crystal and placed on her chin to lift her face up to see his face.

"I’m sorry" Jareth whispered. He pulled her into his arms, holding and hugging her.

Jacquelyn tried to speak,

"Who’s Jillianna?" She said in a whisper.

"Jillianna is my mother. Vadek killed her because he wanted her magic so he can do whatever he wanted. I never forgave him and I will not forgive him for all eternity." Jareth said softly in her ear, still holding her in his arms.

A voice rang out in the dark corners of the her room.

"Aw, I’m hurt, I don’t want you to forgive me for killing mother but damn her for sending her magic to some pathetic mortal." A man said.

Jareth steps in front of Jacquelyn, shielding her from him.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" Jareth hissed.

"Oh my goodness, my dear brother, you seem to forget. You know very well what I want." He said.

"Ha! You’re too late, Vadek, I touched the crystal, it glowed. Right now it is active. Jacquelyn is ready to adsorb the magic into her. Jillianna is protecting her from all evil, that means you my dear brother." Jareth said, mocking his brother.

"You what!! You touched my crystal." Vadek growled.

"Correction, it is mine, I brought it." Jacquelyn’s small voice rang out behind Jareth’s.

"Not anymore, little girlie." Vadek hissed at her.

Jacquelyn grasped the necklace, willing to adsorb the magic that she was offered.

"You see, she is willing to receive it. She knows everything now. I’m afraid you are still too late." Jareth said.

Vadek’s eyes glowed in fiery red, feeling in rage. With a wave of his hand, all three are no longer in Jacquelyn’s room. Jareth is alone facing Vadek, she is nowhere to be seen. Jareth panicked.

"What the hell did you do to her, where is she!!" Jareth roared. Vadek looked at him with shocked.

"Me? I don’t know where did she go. This wasn’t supposed to happen! Why do you always blame me?" Vadek said.

An angelic voice came from above.

"She is safe somewhere in the land. She called out to me for help. She is now absorbing my magic, she will become one of us, it is her destiny. She will come soon. Fear not, my son, no harm will come to her. If evil tries to harm her, the evil will be destroyed."

When Jareth heard the voice, he knew who it was.

"Mother…" he whispered. Vadek started to scream.

"Damn you, Jillianna!!!!!"

Chapter Fourteen

Jacquelyn woke up groggy, found herself in a place she never seen before.

"Where am I?" she groaned as she got up to her feet. She looks out beyond. Her eyes widened.

"Holy Hanna!" she gasped when she saw the land. Then she heard a rustle noise behind her. She turned around. She gasped. A light glowing figure appearing in thin air. A figure of a woman, she’s wearing a long white flowing dress with long sleeves, a v-shaped neckline. Her hair is red like fire, her eyes so crystal blue as an ocean.

"Do not be afraid my dear. I’m here to help as you ask. Right this very moment you are receiving my magic powers, you won’t feel the effects until you reach to my sons. You have 13 hours to reach the castle and chose one of my sons. Chose carefully. Chose the evil will conquer evil all around land, no life, no purity will survive. Chose the love, everything will go back to normal and I will rest in peace. You must hurry, if you run out of time. There will be no more magic left, no more love, no nothing. Your necklace will guide you through the Labyrinth, there will be other who will help you through the Labyrinth. Hurry my dear." She said as she disappeared in thin air.

Jacquelyn was shocked. She couldn’t believe what is happening around her.

"Oh my god!, that must be Jillianna!. I know who I choose. One of her sons. I know who is the right one now." She said.

She looked at the land and sighed,

"Well, here we go, c’mon feet." She muttered as she walked down the hill. She came across a little man, grooming his roses. She came up to him and spoke.

"Excuse me, Sir, I was wondering how do I get into the Labyrinth?" she said.

The little man looked up and he smiled.

"Of course, I do know ‘ow to get in. I’ll come with you all the way to the castle. I promised Jillianna to help you." He said smiling.

"You spoke with Jillianna?" she asked.

"Yup, in my dream. You must be Jacquelyn. I’m Hoggle. Nice to meet ya." He said. Leading her to the doors that just appeared.

"Remember, don’t take things for granted, things just don’t always seem to appear." He added.

"I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks Hoggle." Jacquelyn said. They entered the Labyrinth. She looked both ways, left and right.

"Which way? Right or left?" she asked Hoggle.

"Neither" Hoggle said. Jacquelyn blinked at Hoggle.

"Neither?" Jacquelyn was confused. Hoggle takes her hand and started to walk towards to a wall.

"Wa-wait, Hoggle there is a wall in front of you." Jacquelyn said.

"You just ain’t seeing it yet. It is full of turns and corners. You just ain’t seen them. I told you, don’t take things for granted, ya’hear." Hoggle said. Jacquelyn looked at him and nodded.

"Come, lets go, can’t waste no time talkin’ ‘bout this, I gots to gets you to the castle to Jareth. Come." Hoggle said. Jacquelyn followed him. They came out of the maze, into the forest. Hoggle have always hated this forest.

"Careful, the creatures of this Firey Forest is a pain in the ass." Hoggle said. Jacquelyn looked at him with her right eyebrow shift upwards.

"What do you mean they’re a pain in the ass?" Jacquelyn said.

"Ya’ll see." Hoggle said. Still leading her the way. Few minutes later, all of the sudden, a group of four, funny, red looking creatures jumped in front of them. Hoggle groaned.

"Oh no!" Jacquelyn gasped as the group started to dance around them, making them impossible to pass.

"Who the heck are you?" Jacquelyn exclaimed.

"Why, we are Chilly Down Fireys. I’m Bounce, this is Stretchy, that is Screechy, and that is Rollin. And what are you?" Bounce said.

"My name is Jacquelyn, I’m on a quest to save the Labyrinth." She said.

The Fireys gasped,.

"Save the Labyrinth?!?!?" Screechy shrieked. Hoggle plugged his ears to avoid the screechy voice.

"Yes, save the labyrinth you bonehead!" Hoggle said.

"Beside, we don’t have time to dance, we have to be at the castle before the 13th hour or otherwise, who know what woul’ happen.

While they continue their way through the forest. Hoggle stopped dead in his tracks. Looked right and then left. He got this terrified look on his face.

"Hoggle? What’s wrong?" Jacquelyn said.

Hoggle didn’t say anything, but he just started to sweat and tremble.

"Hoggle! What’s wrong, tell me please, you’re scaring me!" Jacquelyn said becoming scared. Hoggle grasped her arm and pulled her down and said to her face.

"Th-there’s so-something ou-out th-th-there, can’t ya he-hear th-them m-makin’ that n-noise?" Hoggle stammering while still trembling.

"Hoggle, I don’t hear anyth….." she stopped and froze when a loud howl coming from ahead. Hoggle yelped and ran behind her leg, shaking so badly that Jacquelyn is shaking too. She felt scared as Hoggle but she walked towards to the area where she and Hoggle heard that howl.

"Stay behind me Hoggle." Jacquelyn said

"Good ‘dea, I admit I’m a coward. Sorry". Hoggle said shaking.

"Oh please, you’re not a coward, in fact, to tell you the truth, I’m scared to death as you are." Jacquelyn said.

"Really? Cor, that makes me feel a little bit better knowin’ that ya didn’t think I’m a coward. Thanks." Hoggle said.

"No problem." Jacquelyn said. They arrived to a clearing in the Labyrinth of the Firey Forest. Jacquelyn and Hoggle gasped when they saw a huge red/brown fuzzy monster howling in pain from the little monsters which they are grayish color with big yellow/orange teeth.

"Cor! Those Cherakis! C’mon, Lets get them away from Ludo!" Hoggle shouted.

"Cherakis? Ludo? " Jacquelyn said as she ran with Hoggle to chase the Cherakis.

Ludo kept on howling, Hoggle plugged his ears and started to yell.

"Ludo! Ya stop that!!, we’re trying to get ya down, ya big whiny!" Hoggle went to untie him. Jacquelyn is standing in front of Ludo, she was amazed by the size of this thing.

‘THUD’ as the ground shook. Jacquelyn jumped a bit.

"Wow" she whispered.

Ludo got up groaning, Hoggle came up to him.

"Hey, y’all right? Sir Ludo?" Hoggle said.

"Yeah, Hoggle, bwother, Yeah." Ludo said. Ludo looked at Jacquelyn, confused.

"Sawah??" Ludo. Jacquelyn looked at him confused.

"Who’s is Sarah?" she asked Hoggle.

"No, Ludo, this is not Sarah, this is Jacquelyn, she is on a quest to save the Labyrinth from Jareth’s evil brother, remember Vadek, that rat who is the worse rat than that rat, Jareth." Hoggle said.

"Hi" Jacquelyn said. Ludo made a huge grin across his face.

"Jacwlyn! Friend!" Ludo said cheerfully. Jacquelyn smiled.

"Yeah, friends." She said. She looked at Hoggle.

"C’mon, lets go, we got a Labyrinth to save. C’mon, time is a-wasting." Hoggle said. Jacquelyn and Ludo followed him through the forest.

"Hoggle, could I ask you something?" Jacquelyn said. Hoggle nodded.

"Yea?"

"I’m curious, Ludo said something a while ago, who is Sarah?" Jacquelyn said.

"Ah, Sarah, sweet girl, I haven’t seen her a long time. The last time I saw her was, um, whoo wee, about 75 years ago. She was on a quest like you but hers was different, she went to save her brother Toby from Jareth. She wished Toby away but she didn’t think it is real. So Jareth gave her 13 hours to get to Toby before ‘e becomes one of the Goblins." Hoggle said.

"Ouch." Jacquelyn said.

"Jacwlyn hurt?" Ludo said.

"What? Oh no, it is just an expression, I’m not hurt." Jacquelyn said.

Hoggle continued.

"Ya see, she never gave up, and she solved the Labyrinth and gots her brother back, Jareth tried to convince her to stay with him, he was falling in love with her back then, she turned him down. Then about 5 years ago, Sarah became old, she was about 95 years old and she’s running out of time. Jareth offered her once more to live with him and become young again. She still turned him down. When she died, Jareth was never the same. All he does is mope around the castle while me, Ludo, Sir Didymus worked around keeping the Labyrinth alive." Hoggle said.

"He’s in love with her, all these years, he is love with her. I can’t believe she turned him down. Despite his actions towards him, if I was her, I would have turn him down but he should know better how to express his feelings towards her. That is so sad." Jacquelyn said with sorrow in her voice.

"Yea, well, you know that necklace you’re wearing. Jillianna’s magic powers has been remanding in there for 500 years. That’s how long ago she died, in cold blood of that villain Vadek." Hoggle hissed.

"500 years!! Whoa… waitaminute, How old is Jareth?" Jacquelyn said.

"Oh, he’s 550 years old, he’s immortal. But he might die because of Vadek. When them ‘oth fight each other, they will become weaker because they are no match for each other. Only you can save one of them, ‘cause you are getting her magic powers." Hoggle said.

"Me? You mean, I’m getting Jillianna’s magic, I can do magic??" Jacquelyn said.

Hoggle nodded.

"Jareth doesn’t look 550 years old. Tell me about him, how did he come here?" She asked him. Hoggle started to tell her the story about Jareth.

Chapter Fifteen

Somewhere in the void, a void of blackness, the only ground below Jareth and Vadek is stone floating around in the void. If one falls off the stone ground will never come back, forever.

"Well, well, I know for sure who is going to win. Me!" Vadek cackled.

"As if!" Jareth said hissing. They started to hit each other with their magic. Jareth’s lightening bolts hurts Vadek but Vadek’s fire hurts Jareth.

"OUCH!" both of them said.

"You big whiner!" Jareth said. Vadek looked at him with shock.

"You are a big whiner too!" They both argue like little brothers when they were little.

"You are such a greedy pig!" Jareth said.

"Me? A pig, how so?" Vadek.

"You know that one very well, you no-good-greedy-pig!" Jareth.

"I don’t remember, oh do please tell me why am I such a no-good-greedy-pig?" Vadek mimicked.

"You killed someone so precious to both of us. She took us both because she needed us. But noooo, you killed her because you wanted more. More magic, more power, you just wanted everything. So you just kill her off so you can have her powers but someone is taking them and I am so damn glad that she is taking it! You don’t deserve it, that is why you were banished from the Labyrinth, becoming King of the Darkness." Jareth said conjuring up the past.

"I do so deserve it!! Everything I did for her, she told us that we could have everything whatever we wanted." Vadek hissed.

"That’s right but you keep forgetting one thing, we can’t have her magic, she made us by using her magic. Remember if evil conquers her magic. All Hell breaks loose, there will be nothing left. No world to offer dreams, no world to offer life, just nothing." Jareth said.

" I wasn’t evil back then!" Vadek screamed.

"Yes you were and you still are!!, You are still trying to get Mother’s powers. You became evil when you decided that you wanted more than what you had before! I will not allow that to happen!" Jareth screamed back. Vadek started to use his magic to attack Jareth but Jareth is quick to know that he is about to attack. He duck away and zapped him his lightening bolt.

"You are slow!" Jareth said. Still zapping him. Vadek managed to regain his composure and started to attack back. They kept on fighting and then they both got knocked out cold.

As Jacquelyn, Hoggle, and Ludo kept on walking through forest. Hoggle started talking about Jareth’s life before he became immortal.

"Ya see, Jareth was merely 7 years old when he came here, before his new life in here, he lived on a farm with his parents. They lived their lives in poverty because there was a war going on. One day, he was in the woods playing, no one could see him because he was playing on the tree tops. His father built a small fort in the trees. No one can see the fort ‘cause it’s covered in branches and leaves. While he was busy playing, he hear’ noises below, he saw an army of soldiers heading for his village, he became scared because his family is at the village getting some supplies. So he ran home hopin’ that his family is at home. By the time he reachs to the doors, he could hear’ the screams of terror and pain from the people in the village. No one was ‘ome when ‘e went inside. ‘e waited, waited until it became dark. He made a choice that he should go to the village to find his parents, trying to believe that they are still alive. As he arrived to the village, what he saw, there wasn’t a single trace of a village. Buildings, homes, everything was destroyed…." Jacquelyn couldn’t believe what she was hearing

‘Poor Jareth’ she thought. Hoggle continued

"….he was looking around for his parents but all he could find was the bodies of the people of the village, he managed to find his parents but they were killed. He found them lying next to each other. he never left them, he just sat there day and night crying. Then someone came up to him and took his hand. She also took someone in, she took care of them for 50 years until she was killed by one of them boys she took in….." Jacquelyn gasped.

"…..I know, anyway, during those 50 years. Jareth was being tortured by is brother Vadek, even though they are not related but related in magic, in magic of Jillianna. Jareth suffered for 50 years until Vadek has the nerve to become more greeder and greeder. Just before she died, she knew that she is about to die in the next day. So she made a spell on the Underground, the Labyrinth to protect from evil, actually the spell only works to protect half of the kingdom. She made a decision that Jareth is the one to take control of the Underground, and Vadek to be banished forever if he kills the creator of the Underground, which he did so he gots banished. Good riddance. Then she made one last spell. She cast all of her powers, magic, everything she hold inside, placed them into a crystal necklace and send them to the Supreme world, your world. She buried it in the land of nowhere, during that time, the area you’re from wasn’t built up yet. So she hide it in the deep of the woods until about 400 years later, a group of people who was building a railroad tracks to the area called ‘Grand Beach’." He was interrupted by Jacquelyn.

"Excuse me? Did you say Grand Beach??"

Hoggle nodded.

"Do ya know where that is?" he asked.

"Yes, I do, in fact I have a cottage there. The railroad tracks aren’t there anymore, we have highways now, people come and go by cars, bus, trucks and motorcycles." She said.

"Yea, things surely changed over the years. So she hide it there for years, until someone found it. For 100 years, no one has ever touch it, you are the first person who ever touch it for the last 500 years. The crystal ya hold so dear around your neck became active when touched. That is when Jareth started to watch ya all this time. You know now that the reason why Jareth is watching ya?" Hoggle asked.

Jacquelyn nodded.

‘I can’t believe I’m hearing this. I can’t believe that Jareth had a tough life when he was just a little boy, been tortured by that awful Vadek!’ she thought.

"Poor Jareth, does Sarah know about this?" Jacquelyn asked.

"No, she doesn’t, she is too busy hatin’ him and too busy getting her little brother back. She defended him, kicked his ass, gots her baby brother back. Jareth tried to win her heart, no luck." Hoggle said.

"Sawah…." Ludo bellowed sadly. Hoggle nodded and patted Ludo to comfort him.

"Ya, I know that ya miss her, so do I, I miss Sarah too." Hoggle said.

"You know that Sarah is very lucky to have you guys been friends with her, I guess I’m lucky too. I wouldn’t made it through this Labyrinth without you guys. I ‘m happy that you are my friends." Jacquelyn said. Hoggle and Ludo smiled.

Chapter Sixteen

Meanwhile, somewhere in the void. Jareth and Vadek merged from the blackouts.

Both woke up groaning,

"Damn that hurt!" Vadek.

"Tell me about it." Jareth said. Both of them has not yet realized that they are talking to their enemy. Jareth blinked at Vadek and remembered where he was.

"Damn!" he whispered.

"Jareth, Jareth, Jareth, my dear brother why can’t we get along??" Vadek said as both of them getting up to their feet.

"Don’t you dear brother me, have you forgotten, the curse from Jillianna, you are not allowed to merge and getting along that too. If we both die or if I die, the Labyrinth, the magic will die along with us. If I win, the evil will die, the Labyrinth and magic will live on in peace." Jareth said through his teeth.

"That’s what I want, I want everything to be destroyed. So I can die too!! I don’t want the magic to be alive and running when I’m dead. I want them dead along with me. If I go down, you’re coming down with me!!!" Vadek bellowed. Vadek started to attack Jareth with his magic but fortunately Jareth conjured up a crystal, formed into a magic bubble, protecting himself from Vadek. No matter how hard Vadek fought against the bubble, it is draining him out. But Vadek attacks is also draining Jareth’s power out too. Vadek stopped, took a breather, Jareth pops his bubble protector. Before it was too late, Vadek attacked when Jareth lets his guard down, he realized the mistake,

‘Never, never let you guard down’.

Jareth managed to block Vadek’s fireballs with his own diamond crystal shield that he immediately conjured up. Vadek’s fire balls bounced off the shield so hard that Jareth lost his balance and fell backwards and landed hard on the floating stone floor. The fireballs were heading towards Vadek. He panicked and he somehow ducked just seconds before the fireballs swept above from head in inches.

Both of them got up and regained their composure and gave a full blast of their magic at each other. Knocking them out cold in extreme pain.

At the same time as they neared to the gates of the Goblin city. Jacquelyn toppled over in pain. She held her head feeling very nauseous. Hoggle ran up to her side

"Jacquelyn? Are ya ‘kay?" Hoggle said.

"I-I felt pain in my head, I don’t know what that was. Oh god it hurts!" Jacquelyn gasped. She fell down to the ground on her knees, her hands squeezing together until the palm of her hands bled. Ludo started to wail.

"Whoooooo….." but interrupted by Hoggle.

"Ludo!! Now is not the time to howl!" Hoggle shouted. Jacquelyn started to scream.

Hoggle jumped when he heard her blood-curling scream, sending hairs on his back stand, getting goosebumps all over.

"Cor! She is in pain. It must be the side effects that Jillianna told that she will feel it when she reach castle. That means we almost there!" Hoggle said.

"Ludo cawwy Jacwlyn!" Ludo said in broken English.

"Good idea!" Hoggle said. Ludo came up to her and pick her up and carried her to the front of the gates of the Goblin City in ruins. Hoggle was shocked to see the rumble around the castle. As the arrived to the gates, but they were stopped by a small animal.

"Stop ye thee, cann’t enter without my permission!" A familiar voice rang.

Hoggle raised his eyebrows, gasping.

"Sir Didymus!!! It is us, Ludo and Hoggle!" Hoggle exclaimed.

"Well, how you do my dear sirs, my, who is that young mistress that Sir Ludo is carrying?" the fox said. The dog started to bark wildly.

"Quiet!" Sir Didymus yelled. The dog whined. Hoggle started to speak.

"Y’see, this is Jacquelyn, she been sent on a quest from our M’ Lady Jillianna. I was told to guide her through the Labyrinth, help her gets into the City. She is the only one who can save us! Please help us!" Hoggle said becoming scared.

Jacquelyn blinked her eyes as she woke, found herself in the arms of Ludo.

"Ludo, you can put me down." She said in a small voice.

"Jacwlyn down. Okay." Ludo said as he put her down. She almost fell but Hoggle helped her to maintain her balance. As she started to feel a little better but she is still moaning from the side effects of the powers that she has been receiving.

"Damn, it is getting stronger. It hurts like hell." She muttered.

"Jacquelyn, I wants you to meet our other brother, Sir Didymus, say Sir, how did you become a guard to the gates of this city?" Hoggle asked.

"Well, M’ Lady Jillianna came to me in me dream told me to guard thee door, and let M’ Lady Jacquelyn enter. I’m afraid, Jillianna only permit her to enter. Not us Knights." Sir Didymus said sadly.

"He’s right, I have go in alone, no matter what state I am in, I must go alone." Jacquelyn said softly.

"M’ Lady, if you should need us…." Hoggle said.

"Yes, if thou shall needed us.." Sir Didymus said.

"Jacwlyn?" Ludo said.

"Yes, if I need you, I’ll call you, I promise I’ll call. See you later." Jacquelyn said.

She turned to face the doors of the gates. She walked up to the doors and pushed the doors open with all her might. She looked back one more time and waved goodbye. She disappeared into the shadows.

"I hope she’ll be alright." Hoggle said.

"All thee need to believe in her. She’ll be alright, Sir Hoggle." Sir Didymus said. Patting Hoggle on his back. All three waited outside the gates of the ruined Goblin City.

Chapter Seventeen

As Jacquelyn went into the Goblin City. The doors closed by itself behind her. She couldn’t see a thing but she can see only when lightening strikes all around.

"That’s odd, the weather in here is stormy while the weather on the other side of the gates is clear with blue/purple sky. She paused when she thought she heard something. She shook her head.

"Cut that out, you’re scaring yourself for cryin’ out loud." She muttered. She continue to find her way to the castle. She heard a voice in her head. She closed her eyes.

"My dear, your power is complete, use them wisely, be careful, your journey to the castle is more dangerous now. Use your powers to protect yourself….." the voice faded out. She sighed as she opened up her eyes. Her hair is soaked with rain water pouring down from the thundering sky.

"I can do this!" Jacquelyn said. She tried to conjure up a crystal by saying.

"Okay, um, crystal, appear before me!" she said almost shouting over the thunder. The crystal appeared in her hands, she gasped. She couldn’t believe it is actually working. She inhaled deeply, holding the crystal in her hands. Then she thought of something.

‘With my powers, I can do anything.’ She thought.

"Okay, here goes nothing. Show me Jareth and Vadek." She said to the crystal. It glowed a blurry blue shade, a picture of two people appeared, becoming clearer. She gasped when she saw them both becoming weaker and weaker after fighting against each other.

"Oh my god!, all this time during my journey here, they have been fighting?!? I must get to them now before it’s too late!" She said breathless.

All of the sudden, the space around her started to glow red spots. Two spots are closer while the other two are closer. She realized what is it.

"Eyes. Red glowing eyes". She whispered.

"Monsters, they’re all over." She started to panic.

"Crystal, what should I do?" Jacquelyn commanded. The crystal fluttered, started to float from her hands into the sky, glowing brighter and brighter until it made itself look like the sun. She gasped when she saw the monsters. They hideous, with huge black and green furry deformed monsters. They have mouths with 4 rows of teeth with purple tongue.

"Jesus! What a nightmare!" she muttered.

"One thing I can do is to disappear on this spot I’m standing right now and to reappear on a different spot." She said.

"Toodles!" she called out. With a snap of her fingers, she vanished, startling the monsters. She reappeared on the steps of the castle, only few steps to the doors of the castle. Exactly where she wanted to be.

"Perfect!" she laughed. She turned around and her smile dropped into a gasp when there is one monster standing in front the doors. He is quick with his movement. He raised one arm, his claws shone with a silvery shine. Took a swipe at her, she life her arms to protect herself, trying to conjure something up to shield herself but she was too late. The blow sent her flying into the air and landed hard on the hard ground. She screamed in pain. The very same monster who swiped her, jumped at a incredible height. She gasped and rolled away to get out of the way before he crush her with his feet. She got up quickly onto her feet. She suffered another blow in her face from that same creep.

"Ugh, god, he’s quick." She said, getting up to her feet again. At the same time, she formed a crystal in her hands. The monster started to lunge at her. She quickly sent the crystal flying at him at the incredible speed. Blinding him with the white flash, while the crystal exploded. By the time he can see around him but became startled when he saw himself been turned into a juicy, fuzzy, green worm. He shrieked in fear because monsters loves to eat green worms.

"Ha! Take that!" she spat but gasped in pain, she looked at her injuries. She has bloody claw marks on her arm and neck with dirt all over her clothes as well.

"Oh, I must get my ass in there!" she gasped in pain. As she went inside the castle. She starts to scream as she is falling into the deep black void. She kept on falling, falling, and falling down. Finally, she slowly falling, landing softly on her feet on the stone floor.

Still dirty and bloody, she looked around her, see nothing but just nothing. Suddenly a white dot appeared far away in front of her. She looked at it blinking, having a hard time staying on her feet. As the white light becoming bigger and brighter. She is frightened because she doesn’t know what is it. As it is getting closer, the white light started to take shape. She gasped when she saw the figure.

"My God!, Jillianna!" she said softly. Jillianna appeared in front of her wearing the most beautiful white flowing gown. She smiled at Jacquelyn.

"You have completed your journey, now is the time for me to take you to my sons for you to choose one of them. Heed my warning, choose carefully." She said to Jacquelyn.

Suddenly, she felt a warm glow all around her, swallowing her up. The white glow engulf the whole void area she was in. Both of them vanished.

Chapter Eighteen.

As Jareth and Vadek continued on fighting.

"Don’t you ever give up?" Vadek snarled.

"Never, I’ll do anything to save my kingdom and others that goes with it!" Jareth hissed. Vadek’s eyes started to glow red but not fierce as it used to be before. Jareth chuckled when he saw the red fire glowing dimmer.

"Ha!, you are definitely getting weaker!" he spat. Vadek growled.

"Same with you, my dear brother." Vadek said.

"You know Vadek, I’m really getting sick and tired of you calling me ‘my dear brother’, hell, we are not related in blood, only in magic. We are not brothers ! You are only my hateful enemy who is so god-damn-greedy-pig!" he spat. Vadek was about to say something but interrupted when a while glow appeared on his left and on Jareth’s right side. They both looked at the white light dumbfounded.

"What the Darkness Hell is that?" Vadek said.

Jareth remembered something, he smiled and he turned to face Vadek.

"She’s here" he said.

"Who is here" Vadek said questionably.

"You know, Jacquelyn and Jillianna. " he said as he started to chuckle.

"Impossible!, I send my creatures the Mexionas to kill Jacquelyn before she has the chance to get here!" he screamed.

"You what!, you send Mexionas after Jacquelyn?!" Jareth started to panic, because he knows what the Mexionas can do. They can shred you within a second with their silver claws.

As Jacquelyn appeared with her eyes closed and her head down. She is still covered in dirt and blood. Jillianna appeared behind her at the same time as Jacquelyn did. Jareth held his breath when he saw her all bloodied and muddy.

"Jacquelyn, my god what have they done to you?" he said softly. Jillianna spoke.

"Time is almost come to end. Jacquelyn has completed her journey through the Labyrinth and Darkness. She is now ready to chose the one that is designed her destiny." She said, then she went to Jacquelyn and whispered something in her ear.

Jacquelyn merged from her sleep, raised her head and opened her eyes. Her face look bleak and lost, but she is not lost.

Vadek smiled.

"Jacquelyn! Baby, you’ve come for me!" Vadek exclaimed. Jareth shot him with a look on his face.

"As if! You don’t know if she is coming for you!" Jareth spat.

"Silence!!" Jacquelyn yelled. Both Jareth and Vadek looked at her, kept their mouths shut.

"I’ve made my decision, I have chosen wisely. A crystal will appear in front of you, each of you. When you touch the crystal. One of the them will turn black, that means bye bye. The other will glow a shade of blue and green, you know what that means. You have been chosen." Jacquelyn said. Conjured up two crystals in front of Jareth and Vadek.

Vadek chuckled, believing that Jareth is got the black crystal.

"If this crystal glows a blue and green shade. Time for you to say Bye bye to your life and the Labyrinth. Ha ha ha ha ha ha…." He kept on cackling.

"Oh really, shall we my dear brother." Jareth mimicked. Jareth touched the crystal first. Vadek started to freak because his crystal glowed a blue/green shade. Vadek touched his, it turned black. He now knows it is over.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo………………………………" Vadek screamed as he started to fade away. The void is now disappearing, Jareth and Jacquelyn are back at the castle beyond the goblin city. Everything has turned back to normal. Jareth sighed, feeling very relieved that the ordeal is over. He looked at Jacquelyn, started to walk towards to her. He noticed that she is very tired, look like hell. She looked at him with pain in her eyes. She collapsed in his arms. Jareth became scared.

"Jacquelyn, oh god, please don’t die on me! Please!" Jareth panicked trying to wake her up. A voice came from behind.

"Jareth, my dear son. Please do not worry about Jacquelyn, she will be alright, she just needs some rest. Her journey drained her energy. All she needs is some sleep, be with her when she sleeps and be with her when she wakes. My time in here is now over. Vadek is no more. He is destroyed and he won’t be coming back forever. Be well, my son, and take care of her." Jillianna said softly, waving goodbye to Jareth and disappeared forever.

Chapter Nineteen.

Jareth’s eyes started to well up with tears. Looking at Jacquelyn. Lifted her up to carry her to his bedchamber. Before he left the throne room. He look back and looked around the room and whispered.

"Thank you mother, I will never forget what you have done for us. Thank you." He said one last time. He left the room, carrying her. Placed her on his bed, with a wave of his hand, the blood and the dirt disappeared. Her scars also disappeared, she went back to the same look she had before her journey. He bent down and kissed her softly on her forehead. He conjured up a crystal that plays music.

"Some people say fallin’ in love is purely chance.

The random blend of time and place, circumstance

That couldn’t be farther from the truth.

‘Cause with you.

It wasn’t the stars in the sky

That got to me that night

Or the music that we were dancing to

It’ wasn’t the moon up above

That had me falling in love

It was more than all those things alone could do

It was you.

I do believe we’re all a part of some greater plan

That only angels in our hearts can understand

Somehow I knew I’d found my place

When I saw your face

It wasn’t the stars in the sky

That got to me that night

Or the music that we were dancing to

It wasn’t the moon up above

That had me falling in love

It was more than all those things alone could do

It was you….."

(Song from Trace Adkins "It Was You". Album: Dreaming Out Loud)

Jareth slid to bed next to her, wrapping his arms around her, comforting her. He watched her sleeping and he closed his eyes and went to sleep. His long blond hair hangs softly over his shoulder, touching Jacquelyn’s long brown with red/blond highlights. Their cheeks gently touched almost electrify.

When the morning broke, Jareth woke up, finds her still sleeping peacefully. He slowly climbs out of bed trying not to wake her up. He walks towards to his balcony of his bedchamber. He looks outside, saw the dramatic change in his Kingdom. His eyes widened when he saw the transformation. The Labyrinth changed back the way it used to be when Jillianna used to be alive.

"My God! I’ve forgotten how beautiful it used to be!" he exclaimed quietly. He sighed.

He heard her stirring about. Sees her moving onto her back from her side, opened up her eyes stared at ceiling, closed them again. Suddenly, she popped her eyes wide open and gasped as she shot up from her bed. Startled, Jareth catches his breath when she shot up, nearly gave him a heart attack. She looked around, her eyes met Jareth’s, she sighed softly, plopped her head back onto the pillow.

"The whole thing wasn’t a dream, wasn’t it?" she said.

"No, it’s not a dream, it really happened, it’s very real, as you and I." Jareth said, walking towards to her and sat on the bed next to her.

"Oh boy, wait a minute, my family, my friends, Emily and David. They must be worried sick about me!" she panicked.

"Oh my love, don’t worry, I made sure they know what is happening with you, they know that you are safe with me. I gave them the same dream." Jareth said, stroking her soft cheek. She closed her eyes and sighed, lifted her hand to touch his hand on her cheek.

"I’m glad this ordeal is over." She whispered.

"Me too, me too my love." He whispered.

Back at the Foxgrove Place in London, everyone woke up at the same time, startled by the dream that they just had.

Emily was the only one who woke up screaming, David bolted out of bed after hearing her, ran to her bedroom but nearly knocked her over because Emily ran out of her room. They were panting and breathing heavy, looking at each other within their eyes, all of the sudden they blurted out the same name.

"JACQUELYN!!" they ran to her room, only to find her bed empty, they got scared.

"Oh God!, where is she!! That dream can’t be real!!!" he freaked. Emily gasped.

"You too!, you got that crazy dream about Jacquelyn on a quest saving the Labyrinth and getting those, um, um, um, that woman, Jillianne or something’s magic powers???" David’s eyes widened.

"Oh my God!!" Aunt Doris and Uncle Ron said at the same time, standing at doorway of Jacquelyn’s room.

A voice rang out from the shadows.

"Oh, believe me, it is very real!" a man voice said. Everyone jumped, except for Emily, she shrieked.

"Huh??" David said.

"What he means, it’s that all of you had the same dream, now you know what is going on with me, I know now." A female voice said from the shadows. Emily gasped when she heard that voice. She recognized it!

"Jacquelyn!" Emily said.

"Yes, it is me." She said, coming out of the shadows wearing a white lace, knee high, v-neckline dress. Her hair is half up and half down, decorated in white and pink flowers with sparkles spread all over her hair.

Her aunt’s mouth dropped open.

"Oh my Lord!! You’re so beautiful!"

"I agree, she is very beautiful" a male voice said.

"That dream we all had, did it really happen to you? The journey, the powers, the Labyrinth????" David said. She nodded.

"Yes, it is very real." David blinked.

"Who was that just spoke a few seconds ago?" David said.

"That’s Jareth, surely you two remember him from last night at the party. That’s him" Jacquelyn said.

Emily was shocked.

"What?" she screeched

"Jarod? Jarod is Jareth? Those two names are the same guy who has been following you for almost 8 months?" she said.

"Yes, that’s me alright." Jareth said, coming out of the shadows. He is very handsome looking. He’s wearing black tights with knee high boots, white poet shirt with a glittering leather vest, and a long black shiny(sorta) jacket. His hair is long blond with a shade of light purple, green and blue with sparkles. Emily’s jaw dropped.

‘Damn!’ she thought

Jacquelyn chuckled.

"Careful Emily, Jareth and I can read your mind." She said.

Emily turned beet red.

David looked at her shocked.

Aunt Doris started to speak.

"Jacquelyn, how are you going to tell this your parents, your friends back home?"

"The same thing as you guys just had. The dream. It is easier to explain that way. Don’t worry, I won’t be going through that again." Jacquelyn said.

"Are you sure you want to do this, leaving everybody behind?" Uncle Ron said.

"Oh no, I’m not leaving everybody behind, I’ll be coming back to visit more often. The Underground is my home now, it is my destiny." Jacquelyn said.

"I’m going to miss you sooo much, Jacquelyn!" Emily said starting to cry.

"Oh Emily, you will see me every once a while. If you want me to come to visit, all you got to is call me, just call out my name, I will come." Jacquelyn said walking to up Emily to give her a hug.

"We have to go now. There are things that we have to do." Jareth said.

"Yes, there’re things we have to do. But I will be coming to visit. No one knows what is going on, only us and my parents knows about this." Jacquelyn.

"Thank you for everything. I will never forget you, never." She added.

They all waved goodbye as Jacquelyn walked towards to Jareth taking his hand. They waved back, and with a flash of light, they vanished.

"Whoo.." David.

"This is one hell of thing, whatever it is called. I surely ain’t gonna forget this!" David said. All agreed.

Chapter Twenty

Down in the Underground, they appeared in the throne room. The room is different, there is another throne besides Jareth’s throne. A bunch of goblins came bursting into the room. Dragging Hoggle towards to Jareth.

Hoggle started to scream.

"Lets go!! Lets go of me, ya cretins!!!" Hoggle shouted.

Jacquelyn started to laugh, went to pick up Hoggle to his feet. When Hoggle saw her, his eyes widened.

"Jacquelyn!!" gasped "I mean, Your Majesty" Hoggle said, realized the mistake, becoming scared of Jareth.

Jareth chuckled.

"Relax, Hoggle, I ain’t going to sent you to the Bog of Eternal Stench. You are our loyal subject. In fact, I’m thinking of making you a court jester of this castle. How does that sound?"

Hoggle blinked at him. He stammered.

"oh- uh-I-uh-I’m-I’m honored, thank you, Your Majesty." He said, turned to Jacquelyn. She’s smiling.

"Come, my love, there is one more thing we have to do before the wedding." Jareth said, taking her hand.

"Yes, one more thing left. We will see you later, Hoggle, we are going to visit my parents. We’ll be back." Jacquelyn said to Hoggle, taking Jareth’s hand, walking towards to a liquid mirror that Jareth conjured up from the crystal.

They disappeared into the Human World.

"Huh, ‘ow about that? She surely changed Jareth’s life around. I like it!!" Hoggle exclaimed.

THE END.

Well? What do you think? A bit cheesy? Or not? You tell me.
