Who’s who in the
Jareth the Goblin King: Jareth is the Goblin King of the Underground, he heeds a young girl’s cry for help. He listens as he waited for her to say the right words. As she did, she realized that Jareth is real so she challenged him that she can solve his Labyrinth. As the time goes by during those 13 hours, he is falling in love with her, tried to win her heart but she doesn’t understand so she turned him down, she said the words that hurt him so.
"You have no power over me!"
The character "Jareth" is played by David Bowie.
Sarah Williams: A young, imaginative 15 year old girl whose mind is full of fairy tales and fantasies. Her love for acting, she depends (I think) on the book that her mother gave her ‘Labyrinth’. She is stuck baby-sitting her step mother’s son. Sarah’s stepbrother; Toby. She accidentally wished him away when she was frustrated with his crying. She sent on a quest to save her stepbrother before the 13th hour strikes.
The character "Sarah" is played by Jennifer Connelly.
Hoggle – voice by Brian Henson. Hoggle is a cowardly dwarf who fears the Goblin King, Jareth. He helps Sarah lead her way to the Castle beyond the Goblin City with/without Jareth knowing it. He befriends with Ludo and Sir Didymus on the way.
Sir Didymus – voice by David Shaughnessy. Sir Didymus is a fox of a noble knight who was banished to the Bog of Eternal Stench by Jareth; that he must guard the bridge for thousands of years. Since then, his sense of smell was damaged while guarding.
Ludo – voice by Ron Mueck. Ludo is a huge red/brown mangy friendly monster who speak in small, broken sentences. He befriends with Sarah, Hoggle and Sir Didymus. He is a lifesaver to Sarah because he is friends with the rocks (sounds odd, I know.) The Rocks obey by Ludo’s wail and howl.
The Worm – voice by Timothy Bateson. It is a very small part in the movie, but favorites to many devotees of the Labyrinth. A cute, little, cuddly, fuzzy top worm is sweet to Sarah by offering her tea and cookies and offering her to meet his missus. Too bad that he told her not to the direction that Sarah almost went to. He told her not to go that way because it leads straight to the castle. He didn’t tell her the reason why. Tsk.
Toby: Baby Toby; a screaming baby stepbrother of Sarah, who was wished away by her. He is saved at the end by Sarah by telling Jareth the words that he has no power over her.
The character "Toby" is played by Toby Froud. Son of Brian and Wendy Froud.
