UPDATE: 021501 TCFI is Mike B.'s good deed--motivated by enlightened self-interest. He kept getting requests for a snippet of this, a jot of that, so he decided to do a compilation to avoid having to track down all those wee fragments scattered across dozens of tapes collected over the years. Volume #1 of the project is in the can and ready to ship.

METHODOLOGY Back in 1997, when Mike first published the preliminary table of contents of TCFI, it weighed in at 223 mins., 92 items ranging from .1-30 mins., for an average of 2.43 mins./entry. Since then, he's accumulated three more years' worth of material culled from TV, tape, and laser disk. It looks like it will take more than two volumes to do the job. Volumes 1 & 2 will weigh in at 120 mins. Volume 3's size will change as additional footage is added. Items have been kept as close to chronological order as possible. But Volumes 2 & 3 will probably have several last-minute items anachronistically placed in the mix. While most FIans prefer Type 1 (TFI) footage, a certain amount of on-point Type 2 & 3 (FFI and Other) material is included. Tough choices were made on What and How Much surrounding material to include. Feedback is encouraged to ensure that future volumes match viewers' expectations as closely as possible. Vidcaps from many of the clips may be viewed at:
Dennard Summers' FI site.If you have questions on any of the items or anything else pertaining to this project or if you have material you would like to see included in future volumes, email for details. Contributed footage used is worth a free tape.
SOURCES Every effort has been made to use the best source material available. Originals range from the pristine of laser disk to the better-than-nothing of multi-generational EP VHS dubs. TCFI is recorded at SP from an SP master using well-maintained Sony and Panasonic decks. Mike B. can do no better. He hopes you will be pleased with the results.
ORDERING Anyone wishing a copy of Volume #1 should email Mike B. directly. The cost (to those who have not been promised a free contributor's copy) is $25 per tape + $5 for U.S. Priority Mail shipping (which will cover the cost of up to 2 tapes per shipment. Thus, total cost of one tape: $30; total cost of two tapes per shipment: $55.) Foreign orders will have to be calculated on an individual basis. All orders MUST be prepaid by cashier's check or money order. Personal checks will be accepted, but shipment will be delayed to allow for clearance. Cash is accepted, but the sender assumes risk of loss in the mail. The charge is for production/conversion only as the copyrights are retained by the legal owners and offered here as fair usage to interested parties of the original works.
FUTURE VOLUMES TCFI #2 is about halfway edited. Now all Mike B. needs is the time and enthusiasm to pick up where he left off. And since the original estimate of length was made, it looks like it will spill onto a third tape. Stay tuned.

*DISCLAIMER The above table is very temporary and incomplete ("0"s are placeholders). It will take some time to track down some of the ambiguous sources for listing purposes. The line-up will not be finalized until it is on the master tapes. Check back for updates.
THANX Mike B. would like to thank Hole in the Air Gangsters James Vipond, Chaz Hill, Dennard Summers, Bob Drake, Dale Jackson, and Paul Cwick for helping vet/research/and/or supply material. He may have been able to do it on his own but it would not have turned out as well and their encouragement helps make the tedious editing process bearable. And a special tip of the hat to Html Maestro Chaz for cleaning up the code for this page.
