Moments after being released, the two younger men walked over to the
end of the line for the "X-Flight", the newest Six Flags
coaster, and
cast disgusted looks at the long, long line. The ride itself took
perhaps ninety seconds, while their spot in the line to ride was
three hours and fifteen minutes long. They waited, albeit
impatiently, passing the time moaning and groaning about the Sky
Coaster. When they were about fifteen minutes away from boarding the
X-Flight, Blair was struck with an inspiration.
"Hey, Fox...how much does it cost to ride the "Sky
Coaster"? Fox
shrugged and said,
"Dunno." In front of them, a big, burly man holding
two young
children aloft upon his wide shoulders heard the question and turned
around.
"It costs twenty-five dollars to ride for one rider, twenty
dollars for two riders, and fifteen dollars apiece for three riders.
That ride is awesome, dudes. If I had the chance, I'd do
it." Fox
thanked the man for his information, and then turned to Blair, who
immediately dug into his pocket to retrieve his wallet. Fox opened
his billfold, and came up with seventeen dollars. Walter had given
him fifteen and he had already had some odd change. Blair had only
ten dollars. Their faces fell. With only twenty-seven dollars
between them, there was no way that either of them would chance
riding the Sky Coaster, as neither would ride without the other.
"Holy shit! That was a BLAST, man...and SO worth the
wait!" Blair
crowed moments after exiting the ride. Fox, still shaken, was too
busy gulping down ice water, to soothe his parched throat. He had
been unprepared for the wild movements of the "X-Flight"
coaster and
had spent most of the ninety-five second ride screaming at the top of
his lungs. Both young men sported "coaster hair", and both
had wide
grins and wobbly legs, a common result of riding looping coasters.
Blair took Fox's wrist and turned it, looking at his watch and
groaning.
"Man, look at the time! It's going on eleven already!
Let's
go watch the people riding the Sky Coaster, `kay? Then we can go
meet the guys." Fox looked like he was going to argue, but then
he
nodded and they went to watch. Both rides were occupied and there
was a line six deep to ride.
On the left side, the riders were two children, who were about
eleven or twelve and trying to keep a brave face for their parents,
who stood below trying to keep a brave face for their skydivers. On
the right side, two young men about Blair's age were jumping up
and
down, impatient for the ride to be off. The ride attendant
constantly spoke to them, asking them to stop fidgeting. One of the
young men made a rude hand gesture, the other was more vocal and told
the ride attendant to go fuck himself. The attendant, slightly
younger than Blair, thought for a moment before stalking to his
control booth and hitting a buzzer. About two minutes later, a well-
dressed older gentleman entered the ride area, walked up to the two
rude young men and spoke briefly. They were too far away for Fox and
Blair to understand what was being said, but the body language and
hand gestures spoke volumes: They were being asked to leave the
ride. If they left with a minimum of fuss, they could finish out
their day in the park. If they continued to argue, as they seemed
wont to do, they faced ejection from the park with no refund issued.
Just at that moment, two men, about Jim and Walter's ages, whose
demeanors screamed "TOPS" to Blair and Fox, who were watching
the
scene avidly, strode up to the troublemakers and demanded to know
what was going on. They made shushing motions to the pair when they
attempted to make their own explanation. Instead, the tops heard
from the ride attendant, followed by the park security, about their
brats' behavior. The latter two, by now subdued by both the
looks
directed at them as well as their realization of what surely would
follow, meekly exited the ride with nary a comment more. They were
each "helped" down by their respective mates, with a hard
smack to
their denim shorts-covered backsides.
The attendant and security guard smiled and the attendant
turned to the waiting riders and asked, with the aid of a
loudspeaker, if there were two young adults who wished to ride. No
one put up their hands or spoke; the ones waiting in line all wanted
to ride singly or three at a time. The attendant asked again, before
turning to the crowd and asked, "IF ANY OF YOU WISH TO RIDE, WE
NEED
TWO RIDERS, UP TO SIX FEET TALL AND UP TO 200 POUNDS. THE RIDE HAS
ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR SO IT WILL ONLY COST HALF..." the words had
not
exited his mouth before he found two takers, the panting young men
standing in front of him waving a ten-dollar bill.
Blair looked at Fox and Fox looked at Blair. The looks that
passed between them spoke of secrets they would carry to the grave.
They were led over to the contraption that would send them 100 feet
into the air, where one of them would be responsible for pulling
the "ripcord" that would send them flying down and outward
into a
free fall, held in only by their "flight suits", hooks and a
VERY
strong cable.
In short order the two adventurers were suited up and were
slowly being hoisted into the air by the hook/cable system, which
from down on the ground bore a major resemblance to a bunch of
pulleys, or a rod and reel. Suddenly Blair and Fox's foreheads
both
creased into frowns. Blair said,
"What is wrong with my pants?" Fox replied,
"I don't know, man, something is tugging on mine!"
They felt as though they were being hoisted into the air by
their pants, when suddenly they were both horrified to hear a
terrific ripping sound as the backs of their pants tore off and waved
about above them like gaudy blue jean flags; apparently, when they
were hooked up to the pulley system, the attendant, pressed for time,
ran the attached cord through the material of their flight suits, and
somehow had also attached it to the backs of their shorts. Blair
fumed,
"Shit, man! This is SO not funny! Stop laughing! Fox!
Stop
laughing!" Fox was laughing uncontrollably, his own as well as
Blair's bottom bare and shining in the sun. They could both feel
the
cool air and the warmth of the sun on their exposed hindquarters.
Finally, after an interminable length of time in which Blair
alternately cursed Fox for laughing and trying not to laugh himself,
the pair reached the top and the ripcord was in Blair's hands.
He
asked Fox once more to stop laughing.
"Shut up, man! Your ass is as bare as mine is!" Fox simply
kept giggling before choking out,
"I c-can't help it! Oh hahaha!! Hey Ohio! You got a
double
moon out over Aurora in the late morning sunlight! Hey,
OhioOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!" Blair chose that moment to pull the
ripcord,
and Fox's laugh became a scream of pure fright laced with an
adrenaline rush that pumped with fervor through both bodies, as they
free fell 100 feet straight down, their bodies seemingly rushing
towards planet Earth. They swung in an arc, the upwards swing taking
them over the nearby track of the Batman Knight Flight, the matching
games' booth, some food vendors and onlookers galore. The
downwards
swing, seeming to occur in slow motion, afforded them a look at the
lake, where fish splashed, frogs jumped, and then over more onlookers
gazing at them in awe.
Backwards they went, right past...OH MY GOD! Blair looked at
Fox
with wide eyes, and Fox stared back at his partner in crime, eyes
equally dilated. There was terrified silence for several seconds,
and then Fox spoke first.
"Did you see what I saw? Was that...?" Blair looked
back at Fox,
his wide cerulean eyes growing wider still, his mouth in a
perfect `O' of fear.
"F.fox, we are SO dead," Blair said, his voice
quivering. Below
the swinging duo, hands on hips, foreheads creased into frowns and
both wearing identical expressions of threatening promise, stood Jim
Ellison and Walter Skinner. Blair frowned slightly. Instead of
their Tops standing with the rest of the onlookers where it was safe,
Jim and Walter stood near the platform where Fox and Blair would be
dismounting. To Fox and Blair's further dismay, the older men
each
held a belt, doubled, in a hand and were each swinging it through the
air as though they were intending to land it on a ready target.
Blair closed his eyes trying to stave off tears. This was SO unfair!
Walter and Jim had been leisurely strolling around, enjoying the
sights and laughing over the antics of children and parents alike.
They had no wish to ride any rides without their partners. Little
niggles of doubt were present in the backs of the minds of both men,
because they both made sure that all their activities kept them
within the proximity of the forbidden sky coaster. Jim said it was
because there were more rides on this side of the park, Walter
countered that it was closer to "Worlds of Adventure", the
wild
animal section that used to be known as "Sea World" and what
he
wanted to stroll through next. Neither of them mentioned aloud that
they could see the occupants of the sky coaster ride from almost
anywhere on this side. The pair had seated themselves on a bench
between the Sky Coaster and the Batman Night Flight, the seating
affording them views of both the forbidden ride and riders of the
floorless coaster, and well able to hear the screams of both rides.
Walter KNEW that his Fox would be unable to resist the pull of
forbidden fruits, while Jim had a little more faith in his Blair and
knew that the younger man would go along with his pal under
coercion. Neither of the boys would stop to consider the possible
hazard of pulley breaks, cables snapping, or the promise of a bare-
bottomed spanking from their SO's for disobedience. Jim's
acute
hearing and sense of smell immediately detected Blair's voice and
his
fear; his young man had still a vestige of his earlier agoraphobia.
"Walter," Jim stood and looked at the older man,
"we'd best be
going over there," he jerked his head in the direction of the Sky
Coaster. Walter stood, removed his glasses and wiped them. He shook
his head, rolling his eyes in disgusted amusement.
"You don't have to say another word, Jim..I'm right
behind ya,
buddy!" The determined duo made a beeline for the Sky Coaster
and
there in the sky, sure enough, were their brats. The two men took
unhurried steps to the front of the line; one person waiting his turn
started to object but hushed the moment eyes of glacial blue then
those of hot brown turned to glare in his direction. Walter spoke a
few words into the ear of the awed but amused ride attendant, while
Jim flashed his badge at the security guard who had joined them, and
the two park employees barked "Ride closed for thirty
minutes!" at
the crowd of onlookers and those waiting their turn. There was much
grumbling but no one dared argue. Jim and Walter gave the daring
young men on the flying trapeze time to notice their presence, and
then took action. Rolled up their sleeves. Removed their belts.
Smiled matching smiles when they noticed that the areas for their
intended "lecture" had already been prepared and bared. When
the
ride slowed down a bit, first Walter and then Jim raised their arms,
with the belt buckles in their hands, and swung their arms outward
and down.
SWISH-C*R*A*C*K! "Owww!!" from Blair. SWISH---
C*R*A*C*K! "Ouch!" from Fox.
Twin red stripes appeared on the four pristine globes so thoughtfully
left uncovered for their attentions. Walter and Jim waited for the
pair to swing forward, and when they swung backward, a repeat....
SWISH-W*H*A*P!! "Oh, OUCH!" Fox first this time.
SWISH-
W*H*A*P! "Oww! Jim stop!"
And so it continued, each time the flyers swung forward, and then
backward, the belts cracked in time on two increasingly reddening
bottoms, twin cries of pain issued forth from two sorry brats'
throats.
Finally, the ride came to a standstill. Normally, the riders
are lowered by the hook attached to the back of their flight suits to
the platform, they are laid down on their stomachs, and helped to
their feet and assisted with removal of the uniforms.
This was not the case with Fox and Blair-instead of being
lowered to the platform on their stomachs, they were lowered over two
waiting laps-Jim's and Walter's-and the real
punishment began. The
men did not scold their brats...they did not need to. The slaps on
bare, striped buttock cheeks and loud cries of pain, interspersed
with pleas, apologies and promises of better behavior spoke volumes.
Riders on the Batman next door nearly broke their necks trying to
crane their heads around to watch...but all the people waiting to
board
had a completely unobstructed view of the brats' spanking. When
it
was over, the ride attendant brought out two large-sized jackets that
read "I SURVIVED THE GERONIMO SKY COASTER" across their
backs, and
handed one to Blair, one to Fox.
"For your coverings," he offered by way of explanation.
The
two subdued, sniffling brats gave their thanks quietly, and then each
tied one around their waist to hide their now red and bare bottoms.
Walter and Fox, then Jim and Blair, walked into the crowd without a
murmur. Deciding to forego the walk back to the car for lunch, the
tops each bought their brats a hot dog, fries, a coke and a bowl of
coleslaw, plus some for themselves. The lunch was quiet and was
consumed standing. Afterward, the younger men perked up a little,
even mentioning that they might like to walk on the "Wild
Side".
Walter grinned at his unrepentant brat, ruffled his hair and kissed
him.
"Fox, I think you've spent enough time as it is on the
"Wild
Side". Fox stuck out his tongue at Walter.
The latter grabbed his brat and whispered,
"Better keep that thing hidden, or I might show you where to
stick it for better effect," before kissing Mulder senseless.
Blair allowed Jim to run a soothing hand over his sore bottom,
underneath the jacket, before teasing,
"Hey, you guys? How about a coaster ride?" then ducked
the hail
of cups and foil wrappers flung at his head. Fox teased back,
"Sure, Blair...long as it's a STAND-UP coaster!!"
